To me it would make sense to have the “/” before the page name, so yeah
And surely it should be /profile/login and /profile/register ?
in reply to: I think it's time we got W3 totalcache workingWould be great 🙂 +1
in reply to: choose your own picture to share on facebook wallNot a problem 🙂
For future support requests from the developer just remember to enter in your Envato purchase code in your profile 😉
Cool…
sorry please change
$author_id = the_author_ID();
to
$author_id = get_the_author_ID();
Made a mistake with the author ID retrieval method
Change
<?php echo $author_id = get_the_author_ID(); ?>
to just
<?php $author_id = get_the_author_ID(); ?>
We are setting a variable here, not printing out the $author_id.
You may also want to add in
PHP12345if($author_id != get_current_user_id()) {//do code here}This will prevent the follow button to be displayed if you are logged in and it’s your own post as well.
so you full code would be:
PHP1234567$author_id = get_the_author_ID();$current_user_id = get_current_user_id();if($author_id != $current_user_id) {echo $userpro_social->follow_text($author_id, $current_user_id);}Facebook login: If the error states that there is a problem with the facebook app setup, then you need to make some adjustments to you Facebook APP settings. This is out of Ahmed’s hands.
https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ – Go to your APP
Under Settings:
- Display Name is required
- Namespace is required
- Contact Email is required
- Make sure you added “Website” as a platform with your Site URL e.g. http://www.example.com/
Under Status & Review:
- Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public? Make this YES
Make sure you have these in place. If you are having login problems that do not state that there is an error with the facebook app setup, then you need to do some debugging on your site.
- Deactive other plugins to try see if there is a conflict with another plugin
- Use a WordPress default theme to test
- PHP cURL needs to be activated on your server
If you still can’t login and are having other issues, developers like Ahmed require errors / screenshots to try help debug and fix the issue. Please try help make this easier for him by posting a screenshot and any errors you get. Will also help listing the plugins you currently have activated and what theme you are using.
in reply to: Users not able to loginFor you posts/pages get the author id by using something like
$author_id = the_author_ID();
Then for the follow button you can do
echo $userpro_social->follow_text($author_id, get_current_user_id());
This will allow users to follow the author of the post/page.
UserPro uses proper WordPress structure so the normal WordPress codex functions work as normal.
WordPress info on Author ID: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_author_ID
For follow buttons can do something like
<?php echo $userpro_social->follow_text($user_id_here_you_want_to_follow, get_current_user_id()); ?>
follow_text(‘User id that you want to follow’, ‘Your user id’)
In your comments template you could do something like
<?php echo do_shortcode('[userpro_social_connect]'); ?>
See http://userproplugin.com/userpro/forums/topic/finally-social-connect-shortcode-only/ for shortcode options.
in reply to: How can I show only social buttons on comments?And if you backup the database and then try upgrading? Would be nice if you can upgrade because Ahmed is constantly working on new features/bug fixes etc. SO the newer the version the better the features should be. Very strange problem you’re having indeed.
in reply to: Download link to version v1.0.87 requiredv1.0.89 is now the latest – have you tried it yet?
in reply to: Download link to version v1.0.87 requiredPerhaps because it’s posted under tutorials / integrations and not under support… Start a topic under support and I’m sure Ahmed will respond. With him trying to develop new additions and changes and trying to respond to every question on every forum can be quite daunting.
in reply to: Paid Membership IntegrationMine seems fine on FF v28.0 but in v29.0.1 I see this issue…. FireFox bug definitely
If you change
PHP1234img.userpro-profile-badge-right {max-width: 16px !important;max-height: 16px !important;}To
PHP1234img.userpro-profile-badge-right {max-width: 17px !important;max-height: 17px !important;}Then is appears fine…
in reply to: Verified icon display a bit off and got cut offThe latest version is 1.0.88
It is showing 1.0.89 because Ahmed is busy with this version and is not officially released yet on CodeCanyon.
Often he will release a pre-release version as is the case with 1.0.89.
So don’t worry, you have the latest version 😉
in reply to: latest version is not downloadingEasiest way would be to use conditional statements, something like this plugin should help: http://wordpress.org/plugins/if-menu/
If you are familiar with WordPress filters then you can code something in functions.php to make it work.
