Hi,
UserPro (on development version) has CSV export feature that let you download user data with either:
– Default Profile Fields and General User Information
or
– Chosen Fields only. e.g. specify that you only want user ID, username, email, or name.
or
– Ability to exclude certain fields from the exported data.
A long awaited feature is about done in the v1.0.89 *Soon to be released*
Stay tuned for more features.
Many thanks!
Forgive my ignorance, but what is the purpose of this? 😀
Moving users to a new installation without having to split databases and do complex SQL stuff?
Great look forward to trying this out. When you say soon do you mean this evening? @andy999 for me this will be useful for sales/marketing purpose. For example I am setting up a careers website for students/graduates. With this feature I will be able to export the data to excel and be able to provide companies with information on the number/quality of my website’s members e.g My whole website has 10,000 members of which 2,000 have a degree from a top 10 university.
So that is the main purpose of this feature, being able to analyse the type of members my site has and using that information as a sales pitch for companies.
Hi @andy. For me the main purpose is statistical and marketing purposes, companies do not have to deal with complex dashboards with lots of info and badges etc, so a statistical csv like that can give them a good view about the members, and any specific fields you want. e.g. It allow you to choose precisely what custom fields to get for users, perhaps you want to see their city/country, or their degree, or their skills.. it gives you quick presentation – that’s all. Use it for your sales/marketing, or just statistical purposes, or to remove/filter out unwanted members.
This sounds good. Will it be able to select by badge type?
Hey good News,
but now i can export Users, but i cant import them? I already send you my modificated version how to import Users with Userprofields. Its based on an CsV User Import tool. greetzAmazing News!
Can version .90 have a paypal integration 😀 hehe. “fingers crossed”
Great news and an awesome step in the direction of making the UserPro plugin a masterpiece!
Processing payments with userpro is a feature I am highly considering. I am not sure yet if it will be added in the near term. Many thanks. I have a list of bugfixes and minor updates to work through v1.0.89 before I release this version out
Payments would definitely be a good addition to the plugin. I reckon it would be fair and reasonable if you created this as a seperate addon depending on how much you offer. For example, if you were to offer subscriptions, trial periods, coupon discounts etc then it would definitely merit being a sperate addon but if it were to simply be assign a price to a membership level then link to paypal then probably just an addition to the core plugin.
This free WordPress plugin was the closest/best thing I have seen but it has it’s own membership features. If you were to offer similar things to this plugin but as UserPro/addon then that would be ideal:
1.89 available to try yet?
+1
and I’m more than happy to pay for a payment add-on.
Great ideas for features @peem;
subscriptions, trial periods, coupon discounts +1
and perhaps invite codes.
