I Have Sent This Request By Email Directly, And Posted Here At Least 4 Times…
Hello,
The UserPro / MailChimp Integration is STILL NOT WORKING…
I set-up UserPro and if I “Register” it is working – it sends a Verification Email
and then when verified allows people to Log-In, and sends Welcome Email…But, MailChimp is NOT Updated with a New Member in the List… AND MailChimp can not
tell me why it is not working wither…I Created a MailChimp API Key and I Entered that Key into the UserPro Section where
it asks for the MailChimp API Key and I also entered the List ID, and it is NOT working…I have Verified MANY Times that the Key & ID Codes are correct – again it works Adding
people to the system,Verifying them and sending out a Welcome Email, but it IS NOT
Adding them to the MailChimp Lists – This is why I purchased this Plugin…Are there any other Fields that I NEED to have filled in, other then the API KEY
& List ID? Any other Fields that NEED to be filled-in or “Checked”?Is this supposed to Update the MailChimp Lists when someone Registers on my site?
or is it supposed to take them to MailChimp To Add or Confirm them there? Please Help… I’ve been messing with this thing for weeks, and I NEED this to be
working A.S.A.P. – I don’t know why this is so complicated?Thank You!
Hi Mark,
I have just tried Mailchimp integration with my existing demo and it works great I have over few hundred subscribers, I’d say this is not a general bug with the plugin rather could be a misconfiguration. Can someone else confirm?
Thank you…
Part of what I have been asking though, is… is there anything else I should try?
Are there any other Fields or Sections that I need to modify, either in the UserPro
Script, or within the MailChimp account (settings) ?One very odd thing happened earlier today…
I went in to mess around with it again, and went to the “Registration Page” Again,
and this time it showed at the Top of the page, a Check Box saying to check this box
to receive our Newsletter (wasn’t there before), AND it also showed the First & Last
Name Fields that I have also been trying to get working – and I thought it was fixed…So I filled-in the Registration Fields and Clicked the Submit Button – then it went
back to the Log-in page.It did NOT tell me to check my email to verify the registration, it did NOT send me
a verification email, it did NOT Add the name to the System, and it did NOT Add
the Name to MailChimpThen I went back to the Registration Page Again (without making any changes), and
it was back to the original sign-up page, but it didn’t have the Newsletter Checkbox,
and it did NOT have the First & Last Name Fields – but it worked as before, Sending
a Verification Email, Adding the Name to our Websites System, Sending a Welcome Letter,
AND STILL NOT ADDING THE NAME TO MAILCHIMP…So I have no idea why this is not working…
Hi –
You said that you “tried Mailchimp integration with my existing demo and
it works great”… Did you include the Names Fields? Is it transferring the First Name & Last Name, OR ONLY the email address,
because mine is now working perfectly right now too, with the exception
of the First & Last Names, which are NOT transferring over to MailChimp.I did notice that your Name Fields Tags are “first_name” and “last_name”,
AND I think the MailChimp Names seem to be “FNAME” and “LNAME” – – –Might any of this need to be changed in order to work?
I don’t really want to erase everything and start all over with a Fresh
Install, if I don’t have to, because I have spent months getting this
site to this point…I just Created A Brand New WordPress Website, the ONLY
Plugin I Added was UserPro (version 1.0.90)…I Entered the UserPro Purchase Code
(clicked Save, then it said “Thank you for activating UserPro!”)I Added the MailChimp API Key (and Clicked Save Changes)
I Added the MailChimp List ID (and Clicked Save Changes)
AND I Double Checked that the Info IS Correct…
I went to the “Register Page”, and “Registered” as a New User
It Added that Name (and other info) into the WP/UserPro System
IT DID NOT UPDATE MAILCHIMP IN ANY WAY…
(NO New Name or Info Was Added to the MailChimp List)NOW WHAT???
SideNote… On My Other Website, the one I’ve been having problems
with – it was working yesterday (except for updating the Names), and
now, all-of-a-sudden, with no changes being made, AS OF TODAY, IT IS
AGAIN NO LONGER UPDATING MAILCHIMP AT ALL… (version 1.0.90)Try creating a brand new list on mailchimp, and register with more than 1 email address. I just installed userpro on a new site, created a new mailchimp list instead of using an existing one, added api and list id, then registered 2 users. Both appeared in new list.
I actually don’t use the mailchimp function with UserPro, I prefer to use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp/
The reason being that people can choose a specific list and I can gather more information, as when using userpro mailchimp it only adds email address.
So the way I have them work together is this: I use the page redirect function that userpro has and when someone registers on site, they are then taken to email singup page which contains the mailchimp form where they can then signup for email. This page only appears after registering and not everytime someone logs in. Another benefit of doing it this way is that I can customise the email singup page outlining all the reasons and benefits for why someone should signup to mailing list.
Using this method could be a work-around for you in the time being.
I have already synced mailchimp fields with userpro profile fields correctly, and it seems to work so far. I just need someone to confirm or tell me if this is a real bug, because its working on all my tests
Yeah I think so just did a test there. So I have an existing list, which I use on my actual site. I made that the list id in userpro, registered a user and the person was not added to the list. I then added the list id of the newly created list (not used anywhere else) and registered another user. This time it showed up in the new list.
This is not extensive testing though but this could be the issue? Hopefully Mark can try it again with a newly created list and see if that works.
So it could be that it only works with newly created lists? You want to say so? If so, Mark, please test this with new mailing list and let me know!
Thanks! Mark, please test Mailchimp integration with newly created list and keep me posted
