The redirect is working fine.
login_redirect on login shortcode works.
register_redirect on register shortcode works.
I can show you a demo/sample of these, the options are working. What should I do really beyond that?
here on this demo site, users are auto approved and get redirected to profile/logged in automatically. try to create a new account and test.
You do not give me steps to produce a specific bug, not anyone also replicated the same issue. Please if you have a redirect problem, tell the settings and shortcode you used and I’ll test it out again
Your registration form is wrapped in empty pre or p tags, it does not look correct so I can’t count on it for JS redirection really. The redirection is controlled by “After a successful registration” redirect to profile, custom url, etc. The auto login after registration is another thing. whether to auto log in user, ojust show login form. and this setting works fine, no one has reported a problem about that setting.
So it seems you don’t know what causes this?
“Your registration form is wrapped in empty pre or p tags” – theme developer has confirmed this is not the case with the theme. Secondly, I haven’t added this in adding the shortcode in text editor. So not quite sure what you mean here? More importantly how do I solve this compatability bug?
No-one has reported a problem – here I can show you it not working with probably the most popular theme on code canyon. Not sure what more you want me to show you. I need to get this working somehow. Maybe all your other users are using a default wordpress theme?
I do not care if it is popular or not. The registration form DOES NOT look right. Compare it with demo registration or other clients registration form.
Please understand me the big whitespaces and buttons appearing below each other, that’s not the STANDARD look of the plugin. There’s some filter causing it to look like that. It can be your collapsible tabs, try to put register form on a page without any tabs, etc.
As I said, it’s probably a compatibility issue. How do we resolve this? I need it to look correct.
The reason I mentioned that it’s a popular theme is that it is extremely well built by well know wordpress developers, and this is the first issue I’ve had with a plugin and this theme.
Anyways…I need to resolve this somehow. Please advise.
Please try my suggestion at least
. There’s some filter causing it to look like that. It can be your collapsible tabs, try to put register form on a page without any tabs, etc.
1) I’ve moved it directly onto the page and the layout is much better. Thank You for the suggestion.
2) Still having issue with login redirect after registration. It seems that it logs you in, but still shows the register form??? Any ideas to solve this?
3) Is there a way to hide a registration field and set default value? I’ve added a field called “Resume Uploaded” and set default to “NO” and set so user can’t edit, but I want to hide the field for users? How do I do that?
4) Is there a way to allocate a badge based on a field? I.e. I want to have a badge called “Resume Uploaded” and when an admin changes a users registration info from meta field “Resume Uploaded” to “YES” it should show a badge?Any news with this issue?
You have the same issue with the forum login it seems. I have just logged in and I have to manually refresh the page to sign it. Seems like it’s not just on my own site!
I really need this solved.
Really? I need to beg to find a solution here for something fairly straightforward.
Please advise.
Lab41 in programming there is everything possible, so your questions like “is there a way….” of course there is. This is the magic about programming, but is there a way right out of the box – i guess not.
Because login and many stuff in UserPro goes though ajax – it’s big possibility that you have some problems with JavaScripts. Which is very offten happens, cause developers of themes doesn’t think about developers of plugins and vise versa, they include JS in their work..and sometime happens that JS files are loaded in bad order so some of them stops working or causes other problems. (for me Datepicker doesn’t work with my current theme, but with default-works)
I think this way-if login doesn’t work for you with default WP theme and switched off all other plugins-this is bug. Other case this is just your setup specific problem which can’t be called a bug.
I also suggest you to use chrome’s JavaScript Console to see is there errors when loging in.
