in reply to: Banned a member but still showing they are online?Actually Ahmed, can I ask what you use here? Also, do you know if UP can be integrated with Jetpack comments so my registered users avatars and user profiles will show? If you don’t know, I can ask Jetpack themselves.
in reply to: Does UP have an add on for comments?Thankyou.
in reply to: Does UP have an add on for comments?Well…..I know how to STRING a sentence together. Over and out silly boy.
in reply to: The user did not enter a description yet.Hmm, well I dont even know what a string is so maybe you could have a nervous breakdown now.
in reply to: The user did not enter a description yet.Hi Ghost and themedutch,
Ok I will try this plugin I think. OR I might just start a new thing where if members dont add some details, they get an embarrassing avatar. Ha!!
in reply to: The user did not enter a description yet. Thanks Ghost but I will leave it. I dont like to add too many plugins.
in reply to: The user did not enter a description yet. This is a great plugin. Before I was using awr (or is it amr) user directory and another plugin for PM’s. Very pleased with how this is looking. Thanks. 🙂
in reply to: Is PM ready or about to be launched?Aha, great news!! Thanks.
in reply to: Is PM ready or about to be launched?I’ve had to deactivate UserPro because when I made a test account as a user and chose to hide my real name, it was still showing up in the membership directory. 🙁
in reply to: [PLEASE JOIN] UserPro and WordPress MultisiteNot only that, but the confirmation email gives my username as my email address. I go and login as a user and I have two fields to fill in: uername or email address and password. I add my username and password and I get a pop up message telling me my password is wrong. I try a few more times and get the same thing so I take out my username and add my email address instead. I finally manage to get logged in this way.
Frustrated with this plugin.
in reply to: Problem with real name showing when I've blocked it.Hi Echo and Support,
Ok I just removed the under maintenance notice on my site so I could test as a non admin user. Echo no-one can see email address on my site as far as I can tell. When I hover over users’ photos, their profile name comes up in the bottom left hand corner but if I click on my own photo as a user, I can see my own email address as it comes up in the bottom left hand corner instead of the username. So it seems that users who are logged in (and non members) cannot see my members’ email address. BUT, I do think this should be global by default and members given the OPTION to show their emails. I just know I’m going to get tons of emails screaming at me and saying their email addresses are visible and I am going to have to explain to them that only THEY can see their email addressses.
But I’m worried about going into the settings and doing something wrong and make my members emails viewable by mistake. I’m thinking of not using this plugin because of this, which means I will have to search for one I like and does the hide email by default. Echo I’m interested in whether your members emails are viewable in any way. I don’t think they should be?
Thanks,
Kris
in reply to: [Resolved] How can I remove mail to option?Hi Support,
Just to clear this in my mind: If I leave the envelope icon up, my members’ email addresses will be visible for everyone to see if they hover or click on that icon…..is that right?
I’m a bit paranoid about this because its in my privacy statement that I will not divulge my users’ email addresses to anyone. But I have an under maintenance sign on my site at the moment and so cant check things out from a users side unless I use another computer as Ive whitelisted my IP address if that makes sense?
in reply to: [Resolved] How can I remove mail to option?Perfect, thanks a lot.
