Is there any way I can change this please? I’d prefer it to be “The user hasn’t entered a description yet”, which reads better to me.
Thanks,
Kris
Simple fix! Install the plugin Say What? and go to the Tools->Text Replacement page. Add a new replacement and enter
The user did not enter a description yet.
for the original text,userpro
for the textdomain, and enter your new text in the appropriate field. Thanks Ghost but I will leave it. I dont like to add too many plugins.
Hey Kris, that’s an understandable sentiment, but Say What? has virtually zero overhead. I’d recommend giving it a chance. After all, it’s as close to an ‘official’ option as WordPress has for single-string translations.
themedutch is correct. WordPress allows translation through the use of a PO/MO file. This however, is a more complicated procedure which is outlined here and requires access to either the command line or the use of a plugin to generate the translations. Say What? is the easier option when you’re only looking at translating a single string rather than generating a translation file for the whole plugin.
Hi Ghost and themedutch,
Ok I will try this plugin I think. OR I might just start a new thing where if members dont add some details, they get an embarrassing avatar. Ha!!
I ant to cry when people using WP and still doesn’t know how to translate strings.
Hmm, well I dont even know what a string is so maybe you could have a nervous breakdown now.
So go play in kindergarden then if you noob and trying to create websites 🙂
Well…..I know how to STRING a sentence together. Over and out silly boy.
