in reply to: User Pro Failed to Install on WordPress? Thanks mate, yeah I use ‘Posts’ settings as i want user names. or name and not an ID Number. the ID Number isn’t how the plug in is supposed to work.. it’s a workaround etc..
yeah i saw your site, good site, looks great..
But I’ll continue to find a way to get the actual name of user in URL as it’s supposed to be.
many Thanks for your help,
Bless, Jeff
in reply to: 404 page on profile pagesHi Adi,
Yes I tried that, but the User ID did open a profile for all my users, it was my profile, for user 1 through to 8.
So that’s no good either.
I’m sure there has been many sales as you said etc.
But there are a lot of people asking the same question in the Forum and there’s is hardly any support replies.
No probs, I guess It’s just not going to work.
Many Thanks anyway,
jeff
in reply to: 404 page on profile pagesHow can we re-name the profile page when the actual profile doesn’t exist? we ca go to ‘members directory’ then we can see the list of members, but when you click view profile it says ‘not found’ – try searching etc.. I’ve had this problem for over a week now, so do many people on here.. there’s no real support coming from anyone regarding this issue.
I’ve done a permalink flush, changed my theme, re-installed the plug in.. all permalinks are fine.. but when a user signs up the actual profile doesn’t exist.
something.com/profile/myname just doesn’t exist as a page.
We’ve all p[aid our money so please at least address this issue properly and let us enjoy what we have purchased rather than weeks of an headache and possibly refunding us via paypal for a product that isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do and nobody actually doing anything constructive to support us.
Thank you,
Jeff
in reply to: 404 page on profile pagesHi Tal..
You helped a lot… yeah I tried all of that, changed themes, fresh Install, Tried to change permalinks to custom but it reverts back to Posts setting and won’t save as ‘custom’ everything works fine except trying to view someones profile, the url is fine: something.com/profile/jeff but it says ‘not found’
I’m going to try the support people one more time to see if they can offer something constructive within their reply, if i get one.. otherwise i’ll get my money back through paypal, the support on here is very bad.
But thanks for your time anyway.
Best wishes.
Jeff
in reply to: permalink Profile links are broken – 404 errorH Tai, When you change the Permalinks and re-Install can you put the Permalinks back again? As I have the same problem, you can’t view Peoples Profiles from ‘Members Directory’ it says ‘Page Not Found etc.. But i have Videos that use a specific URL, I just wonder if changing my Permalinks in order to get User Pro to work will affect my previous links?
Glad i spotted your post as It’s been a week now and i’m not getting much help from support.
Many Thanks,
jeff

in reply to: permalink Profile links are broken – 404 errorHi Ahmed,
Yes I have flushed the Permalinks and I have Re-Installed user -Pro, I deleted the Pages first as it requested on the re-install within user pro.
The Problem Is that when I go to ‘members Directory’ and click on ‘View Profile’ of another Member there Is no Profile to view and i get the message: Not Found – Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.
Basically another User Logged In cannot see the other Users Profile, although the URL says:facesout.com/profile/ashley
The Permalink is Ok as that is what it is meant to display, however the page cannot be found according to the message.
Many Thanks for your help,
Regards
Jeff
in reply to: User Pro Failed to Install on WordPress?Great I resolved the back end Problems guys..
Ok here the the other problem, I signed up as a new member and created a test profile named ‘ashley’
When I click on ‘my profile’ link i am taken to my profile to edit it etc, but the url says: facesout.com/profile/
(notice the name ‘ashley’ is missing in the url)
when i click on ‘member directory’ link i can see the members etc, now when i click ‘view profile’ it takes me to a page that says: Not Found – Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.
but the url says: facesout.com/profile/ashleyThis is the same when i sign in as admin and try to view ‘ashleys’ profile from the ‘member directory’
It tells me it is not found etc.
What is the problem here?
Many thanks,
Jeff

in reply to: User Pro Failed to Install on WordPress?Oh brilliant, yes that worked fine, thank you..
But there is a problem, I created 2 new users as a test, I logged in as a user and clicked on another users profile and it doesn’t exist even though the URL says so.Another Issue is I typed in the address bar the : /wp-admin to wordpress as a user and i was taken to the admin dashboard in full view! even though the settings in user pro are set to only admins can see the admin panel/dashboard.
I thought the Idea of this plug in is that people can’t see what I can see?
So now I’ve had to deactivate the plug In..
Can you advise me please?
Many Thanks,
Jeff
