If you want to create the same ssection as in the demo profile, you need to do it with shortcodes. If you want to do it with php, you just need to do php integration (like gathering user data, profile pic etc) so you can have a fully customized look, here’s a starting guide
http://userproplugin.com/userpro/integration-guide/
If you need to know how to pull specififc user data, please ask , I am here to help and glad to!
in reply to: [ Resolved ] Profile Pic..This shortcode works, tested on a page:
[userpro template=view profile_thumb_size=35 exclude_fields_by_name=”Profile Background” header_only=true layout=float align=left no_style=true]
What are you getting?
in reply to: [ Resolved ] Profile Pic..For example, on registration the ajax callback for username is username_exists, which has a check inside userpro_side_validate() function in ajax.php file. That allows you to add dynamic ajax checks on fields you want and return errors if the fields do not match a specific condition, here’s the function
functions/ajax.php
PHP123456789101112function userpro_side_validate(){extract($_POST);$output['error'] = '';switch($ajaxcheck) {case 'username_exists':if (username_exists($input_value)){$output['error'] = __('Username already taken.','userpro');} else if ( strstr($input_value, '-')) {$output['error'] = __('Dashes not allowed in username.','userpro');}break; Now this username_exists function tests the input, if username is taken, if dash (show error to user) you can extend it easily if you know php to disallow spaces, or maybe disallow special strings.. whatever you want, additionally you can also setup new checks on other fields to validate registration the way you like.
Hope this shortcode is clear, if not tell me I will extend it.
Hi there!
Ferran reg/login issues were fixed. 🙂 There was a plugin conflict, and recaptcha needed correction, but FB+normal reg/login now work fine. So it’s all right. Marking this as resolved.
in reply to: [Resolved] Login or Register not workingI think I’ve corrected FB registration on this site, can you confirm? 🙂
in reply to: [Resolved] Registration Not WorkingThe solution is much simpler 😀 I fixed it in v1.0.45 (under development now) it’s related to force a line-height on the i of the icon like this:
userpro.min.css
add: div.userpro-centered-icons a.userpro-profile-icon i {color: #aaa !important; line-height: 26px !important;}
as I said, this fix is automatically included in latest version. 🙂
in reply to: [Resolved] form image icon not centralizeCan you please put it live so we can test/and fix this issue for you asap? I have the same problem indeed. on localhost I can’t just give blind support.. I can’t know what host configuration or local settings are used.. you need to put it live so we can debug your installation.
in reply to: [ Resolved ] login issueSo why do not you email me your FTP 🙂
in reply to: [ Resolved ] login issueYour new avatars look awesome!! http://angieaesthetic.com/workout/cardio-eliptical-machine-workout/
Job Done 😉
in reply to: Display Avatar In User CommentEmail me your FTP and your theme comments file and example post where you want to have the avatar, and consider this DONE 🙂
in reply to: Display Avatar In User Comment– Create a textarea field
– Make the field html enabled
– Now this field can show YouTube embeds, like how the demo shows Vimeo embed. 🙂
in reply to: [ Resolved ] YouTube EmbeddingHi @kumarv, how was the problem solved?
in reply to: [ Resolved ] login issueI’ve just been able to register with my facbook. And It worked fine. 🙂
in reply to: Facebook Registration ProblemUserPro does not offer post editing. Post editing should be handled by backend. You need to disable the ‘wp-admin redirecting to ‘profile’ in settings. And then your roles will be able to access certain parts of backend to edit posts. 🙂
