Hello I’m using my plugin translated to Spanish, since My site target is for Costa Rica, BUT I noticed there are a lot of strings missing in the .po file, when user goes to edit profile, all the field labels are still in english as well as the login field labels! I’m using Codestyling Localization plugin to tranlsate and the plugin can’t find those strings, I also tried using poedit and it doesn’t find those strings either, how can I add them to the po file I need this to be translated ASAP! I can make the trsnlation, but need the string included in the po file!
I am aware of this issue, which strings are not translating for you in your personal test?
For the Edit my profile and register sections
– Profile Details (Collapsible Section Label)
– Profile Display Name
– Profile Picture
– Upload a profile picture (Button)
– First Name
– Last Name
– Biography
– Gender
– Male
– Female
– Country/Region
– Social Profiles (Collapsible Section Label)
– Facebook Page
– Website (URL)
– Account Details (Collapsible Section Label)
– Email Address
– Password
– Confirm your password
For the Login Screen I’m missing:
-Username or E-mail
-Password
-Remember Me (Check box)As I Said I can make the translation for this, but need the strings to be translatable, Thanks!
These fields are field labels, you can translate them directly by editing fields in backend 🙂
Oh ok! thank you Ahmed! Haading to translate those from the backend!
what about I use WPML and would like to translate them into multiple language?? Translating these fields is important for multi-lang support!!
I have a similar issue unresolved still.. the admin’s answer above is:
“These fields are field labels, you can translate them directly by editing fields in backend”
Except the plugin seems to support only ONE language at the fields level of the back-end.. meaning if your site is multilingual using WMPL for example, then if you translate the strings as he said here.. you end up with the same strings in all languages anyway.. so what is the point ?!?
Hello Ian ,
The labels are fetched from the database , when we initially chenge the labels they get save din the database and it cannot be changed dynamically in a multilingual platform .
Thank you!I think it would be honest to say somewhere before purchase that the plugin is not really multilingual can cannot be since these strings can only exist in a single version. It took me a long time and hassling you as well to finally get an answer, at first I thought I had issues with my WPML installation etc.. so please don’t let other people go through the same stress, that is not cool ! I also saw you left that question unanswered for me other people on this very forum.. not cool at all.
If this plugin doesn’t support multi-lang (even only on field label, which is absolutely required for multi-lang support) please make it clear on product detail page, so other people won’t think it does, purchase it and only realize it doesn’t from this very question, after scratching their and googling for ages.
