Hi!
There’s a problem with the user posts thumbnails, they don’t display even if you have turned on that setting in the shortcode.
I saw in some earlier posts that people were having that issue, and they were unanswered so I thought I’d post a fix for anyone looking for a temporary solution.PS: mysite.net is just what I replaced my real domain name with.
First of all the issue as it is now, makes the thumbnail image code look like this:
<img alt="" src="http://mysite.net/wp-content/plugins/userpro/lib/timthumb.php?src=http%3A%2F%2Fi0.wp.com%2Fwww.mysite.net%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2015%2F02%2FGeorgia-black-dress.jpg%3Ffit%3D1024%252C1024&w=400&h=400&a=c&q=100">
looks completely messed up.This is the fix I made up:
1. Open postsbyuser.php in your plugin directory
2. If you have the grid display, scroll down to<div class="userpro-post">
not<div class="userpro-post userpro-post-compact">
3. comment out the<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php echo $userpro->post_thumb( $post->ID ); ?><span class="shadowed"></span><span class="iconed"></span></a>
4. add below that code:<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php echo get_the_post_thumbnail();?></a>
5. it will now look like this:
<!--<a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php echo $userpro->post_thumb( $post->ID ); ?><span class="shadowed"></span><span class="iconed"></span></a>--><?php echo get_the_post_thumbnail();?>
Hope that helps anyone with the same problem. 🙂
Hi! I’m not really an expert unfortunately, but I might look and see if I can help you tomorrow as I am busy tonight. 🙂 Also, I can’t get your link to work. Shows me a 404 error page.[EDIT: Got it working now, didn’t realize you accidentally put the “on” word in the url.]
Hi,
Thanks.
The 404 error has been giving me nightmares. Think it’s a problem with one of the plugins :/
Hi, Sorry, I made an edit to my previous comment. I got your link working. There was a typo in it 🙂
Hi again!
I had trouble at first too with login and registration that would give a Jquery error. But their latest update fixed that for me. Maybe you want to try that and see if it helps?
If it doesn’t you might want to try and de-activate your other plugins and see if it helps.Sometimes plugins interfere with each other if they do similar things.
