We use w3 cache. Unfortunately we can not cache some pages due to User Pro not being able to work with the most popular caching plugin on wordpress. Any fix for this soon Ahmed?
I resolved my error for the time being, by deactivating “Wordfence Security” plugin.
with it on, errors
with it off, UP works without errorand, for the record, we reactivated W3 Cache now that a fix has been released in 1.0.93
prior to that, increasing memory to 128M and 256M had no impact as per a different thread I read on here.
Wordfence or another plugin? Security plugins take up a lot of memory but not near as much as UP does. Wordfence and others also let you set the amount of memory it can take up.
W3 cache is not compatible still but I will let you find that out for yourself 🙁 Don’t believe the changelog where it says compatible with w3 because it is not. It is more compatible but still major issues.
yes, Wordfence. Sorry for the confusion.
currently testing with w3 cache on, and so far no issues. I’ll be on the lookout and ready to install quick cache if need be. We’ve gone a few months now with w3 disabled due to the UP problem.
log in , log out and repeat 10x on /profile and let me know results. A few times it will stick and not login even though the user is logged in if you refresh. This will throw off your users. We used Disk Cache, Browser Cache, and Page Cache and ran into this issue. Yeah it sucks not being able to use W3. I wish UP was more lightweight. After running P3 and other performance tools we found out that UP takes about 40% of our 30 plugins + performance. It is a performance nightmare and not scalable currently for big sites. I hope we see a big performance improvement in the near future.
I don’t know if the plugin is even still under active development at this point.
Needing to run at over a GB of memory is insanity.
UP was sold. I am looking into Users Ultra as its performance is 3-4x better and its under constant development. The UP design is better but custom css can fix that. I wanted to believe UP would work but its not working out for us as we are scaling. No support, no new development, and no bug fixes. This plugin is not designed for sites with 10k + users. It is good for small and fun sites but good luck scaling. Already had to delete the activity streams after they were crashing our dedicated server.
