Hi @Support, I just finished talking to Bluehost…about a login issue I was having. I Could Not Login at all. Everytime I tried to login throught the homepage….I’d see a spinning circle then Nothing would happen, and I’d still Not Be Logged In. Then I tried to use “wp-admin” option from the address bar…I kept Getting a 403 Permissions Denied error…so did bluehost. The sytax error went away when bluehost deactivated UP and S2s. I wasen’t able to login because I have no “Visible Login Access”. When Bluehost reactivated S3s members…I was able to login with no issue. But as soon as UP was reactivated….I couldn’t login in from the Homepage login, and I got the Syntax Error Message, and also, 403 Permissions denied error from the address bar using the http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin login access. Didn’t know exactly where to post this at…but If this is a bus or other issue with UP please let me know if it’s been fixed in the latest update. Thanks, Blessings.
Can you login/register using this live demo? If you can, then you have another conflict. BTW, you’ve been working on the site fine with UP, did this happen suddenly? Did you try to switch themes? Did you try to deactivate other plugins? Or just blaming UP straight away that’s its the reason of the issue?
I can access the demo site with no issues. I did update my theme a few days ago, and I upgraded UP to version 1.0.58 before Upgrading today to version 1.0.59. You’re right, i had no issues with login until I made those two small changes. I upgraded a newer version on my theme. But It seems like the conflict also, could be S2s members plugin, because when Bluehost deactived the plugin (UP)….I finally saw the WP Default Admin Login screen, except it had the S2s Members plugin login screen…instead of the WP Default. UP was deactivated at this time. I deactivated S2s Members plugin…and upgraded UP. I also, lost 2 gravitar images that were recently uploaded Friday and Saturday. I’ll email you Admin access. Thanks.
TheProductGenius. So the problem is a conflict from s2 members or your theme? Didn’t understand still 🙂
I personally think it was S2s @Support. Thanks for taking a look, did you find anything else wrong? @Kieran I had both of them activated because I ONLY needed S2s for the Membership Levels and Restriction features at the time. I need to be able to Register 4 Levels of memberships….Basic, Gold, Platinum, and VIP. I never wanted to used S2s’s login or register features so I never added the pages, I just used UP’s. I’m glad the 2 registrations feature was added…because now I can Create the VIP registration and login Separately from the other registrations.Just have to figure out how to set up paid memberships with different access levels to the site…Everyone else (Subscribers)…VIP (Contributors), I almost have it figured out. Also, I didn’t know the 2 plugins would conflict…well I know now….lol…won’t do that again. Thanks.
@Support, I disabled all of the plugins except UP, and everything with login went smoothly.
