Hey,
I have a small problem, I need to allow roles like Author and Editor into the back-end like the setting for Admin, how can I do this as I don’t want to use the page editor that was included.
There are settings available for you to do that. UserPro > Global Options > Redirection Settings (Hiding Dashboard)
Change these settings. Thanks 🙂
Not sure you got the question, I don’t want to change it for subscribers, I want them to be directed to the front-end, but for those who actually need to write a post or change a setting, I want them to be able to access the dashboard without being redirected to the profile page as this stops them moderating comments, bug-fixing or changing any settings.
Maybe, make your question more clear, with examples and sample urls please.
There’s not really an example or link I can provide to be honest, all i can do is explain it I guess.
So basically at the moment if you are an administrator the plugin will allow you to access the dashboard, but if you are not, it will redirect you to the profile page.
This is all good until you come to think about authors, who have to regularly edit posts, moderate comments and access the general functions within the dashboard.
As such we would like to make it so not only administrators are allowed to access the dashboard, but also authors, editors etc, whilst keeping the redirect for subscribers etc.
