Hi there (please forgives my bad english again…) 🙂
I have two issues with UserPro integration in bbpress !
The firt one is that I’ve reduce the size of the avatar in forum view, but now the avatar seems to be too low and I don’t know how I can solve it.
The second one is that the “certified” badge don’t appears beside the username but behind. I think that it’s because the left column is too small, what do you think ?
Thx a lot for your help !
Hey,
can you provide a URL of your website at least ? properly it’s CSS issue but i cannot help you about that this way. if your website is on maintenance mode you could find me on GoogleTalk 🙂
BTW, about the second picture:
looks like the member’s title is center, means column width is very low ( im not sure, because member’s title and verified badge is not too big ), or something else happened so it is under the member’s name.Hi m3 😀
I can’t contact you on GT for the moment, I’m at work !
For information, this display bug (avatar too low) appears since I’ve added this code in my CSS :
#bbpress-forums p.bbp-topic-meta img.avatar, #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-reply-revision-log img.avatar, #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-topic-revision-log img.avatar, #bbpress-forums div.bbp-template-notice img.avatar, #bbpress-forums .widget_display_topics img.avatar, #bbpress-forums .widget_display_replies img.avatar {border: 0px solid #ddd;}
I’ve added this code to remove the white border around avatars 🙂
hi again,
i’m sure removing border is not your problem at all except adding border move elements for 1px so style will change and a border will add around the element. nothing more
for second picture, you should take a look at username and verified badge width to see if their row have enough space or not ( if not, you should change css then ).
my mean from contact me on gt was sending message on googletalk not real contact like voice call 😛 btw im still here.
regards
Thanks m3 !
If you look on this forum, for exemple my last reply, the border take a lot of place as you can see on sentence :
“This reply was modified 23 minutes ago by Nexnivis.”Because there is no only the 1px of the border, but the “padding” between the avatar and the border too. So I guess that remove the border can make the avatar too low.
And for the certified badge I will try few verification at home ASAP 😀
Thanks again m3 for your precious help
By default avatar size is 30px (in the files modified by Ahmed) and looks pretty cool. But if I down the size at 14px the avatar looks low because his size is reducing from the top. I don’t know if I explains clearly enough, I’m not really comfortable in english 🙂
hello again,
really i don’t know what are you talking about. in the first post you linked, there is no different except the size of avatars. can you provide a complete Screenshot from the sections you’re talking about ? i will help you on that better if you do that.
sometimes, depends on position ( relative, absolute and … ) or padding or margins, images could displays in different ways. so it is difficult to say what happened in your BBPress or wordpress theme and sorry for that.
regards
Hi m3, thanks for giving your time 🙂
Here is what I mean :
I’ll take example on this website :
If I make a zoom on it :
There is one border of 1px just around the avatar, a space of 1px around the border, and again one border of 1px around the space.
With the code I’ve pasted I’ve removed these two borders, so my avatar is descending of 3 px as you can see here :
I hope i’m more clear 🙂
Hi,
you know ? actually there is one border around of the avatars with double method to display. means its CSS is
border: 3px double #ddd
that the result will display as you can see.i think i’ve just got your mean. you removed the borders and now it is not at the middle of the line anymore, huh ?
if yes, edit the css like this:
PHP1234567#bbpress-forums p.bbp-topic-meta img.avatar, #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-reply-revision-log img.avatar, #bbpress-forums ul.bbp-topic-revision-log img.avatar, #bbpress-forums div.bbp-template-notice img.avatar, #bbpress-forums .widget_display_topics img.avatar, #bbpress-forums .widget_display_replies img.avatar {float: none;margin-bottom: -3px; /* actually you should play with this CSS code to set that avatar to middle of the line */border: none; /* OR completely remove it */}so those little avatars will set to middle of the line again like this:
is that help ?
RegardsYOU ARE AMAZING !
It’s EXACTLY what I want 😀
Thx a lot !!
Hi there !
My website is now live, so you can check this issue :
http://worldofwarcraft.blizzheart.com/forums/topic/tooltips-wowhead/I mean issue with the certified badge under my name instead of beside ! I don’t understand why it’s displaying like this..
Thx for your help !
hello again,
let’s do it quickly:
PHP123456#bbpress-forums div.bbp-topic-author a.bbp-author-name,#bbpress-forums div.bbp-reply-author a.bbp-author-name {display: inline-block !important;margin: 0px auto !important;i guess you know where you should add it. let me know anything.
regards,
m3Actually his problem is about displaying author name like block and that code exists in bbpress css. while it’s a block, nothing could get beside of author name. bbpress css also adds another thing. a space beside of author name ( margin: 0 12px; ).
btw the author name is center right now.let me know the result Nexnivis.
Works per-fect-ly ! As you can see 😀 http://worldofwarcraft.blizzheart.com/forums/topic/tooltips-wowhead/
Thx a lot 🙂
