Hi,
I was figuring out why connecting via facebook/twitter/google ignores the ‘requires admin approval’ setting and found a reply on the forum that this is standard functionality.
Could you please consider changing your thoughts on this as I believe one should have the option to approve users even after registering via social media. A normal registration or registration via social media shouldn’t necessarily be treated differently in terms of requiring admin approval. There is the e-mail verification option if you want to do a check on non-social registrations. Also the restricted access feature is less powerfull and in some cases meaningless when everyone can just login and view the restricted content without admin approval.
For some people the purpose of user registration via social media is just capturing easy e-mails and as many as possible. But in my case I just want to make the registration process easier and quicker for the visitor through social registration. But I still want to verify who registered to my community before allowing full access. Not all community sites welcome everyone (but yes, still want to make the registriation process less painfull).
I would appreciate if you add an option in the settings to also verify social registrations through admin approval. I hope you understand why and will consider it (I believe it is a relatively small enhancement, since everything is already there, ‘just’ a missing checkbox).
Thanks!
I can only support this.
That is exactly what I need and why I bought userpro in the first place. An easy way for my users to register and a way for me to keep unwanted users out.
