my previous post was deleted, so here I go again 🙂
When userpro is active it’s slow the site extremely, deactivated all plugins, switch themes but no luck.
speed test on pingdoom shows a 3.5 sec wait for the file: admin-ajax.php takes more then 5 seconds.
Please help
Have you tried this site in your tests?
I don’t see the same type of results when testing this site or my site. According to the test I did for this site, it still loads faster than 72 percent of other sites.. And mine is at 85%. If you add 8000 members, your site might slow down. What is the type of hosting you are using and what are the capabilities of the server? There are many factors to consider here. What exactly is the bug?
Hi Geek,
Yep see it here: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cjyKYH/http://www.theme-dutch.com/themedutch
I don’t think it’s our server,
dedicated
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31220 @ 3.10GHz
8 GB RAM
SSD HarddiskWhat happens is this, as soon as I activate userpro Version 1.0.55 the website becomes as a turtle 🙂 As you can see at the pingdom test. Even the admin panel becomes slow with loading.
I have looked at your speeds. I also notice that you are using s2member along with a pretty large number of other plugins including I think I saw three different sliders. How many of them are using wp-admin/admin-ajax.php ? Wouldn’t multiple calls for that file create a slower site?
My site has ample plugins, and as I said, it isn’t that slow.
I only use one slider and I wouldn’t use s2member for my enemy’s (not that I have any) website..
But that’s just my preference, because s2member, last I checked, created a horrible load on my server as well as bloating the database. So, I guess I would have to ask, is it UserPro causing a problem of the combination of different things adding up to a slower site?
I’m not suggesting that it isn’t UserPro, but I can say with complete honesty, I am not having the same issue with UserPro activated. I’m not seeing this on any of my sites(local or hosted). And I only have 2gb with 2 cpus.. 🙂
Hi @Kieran,
Did you take a look at the plugins that are active on that site.. Not just a few, but a few that take up resources.. Many of them taking a long time to load.. And large images.. Nope, I’m not convinced either.. Could be wrong.. there is always that possibility, but I don’t see anything like that on this site or any of my test sites or my live site.. so, I can’t call this a bug.. 😉
Must say though theme dutch your website is very slow on my end as well. If you think it could be userpro disable it, because I can see its being used still. Like central geek pointed several plugins are being used and I can agree about large images…
Not a bug either…
It was a SQL error but Ahmed fixd it and he will release a update so he told me.
Great support Ahmed speak to you soon I hope 🙂
This was a confirmed, major performance bug that has been addressed in version v1.0.56. Please update, all.
The performance bug affects large community sites only 1000+members so better update now please.
