Short Code does not show Social Connect

I simply cut and pasted the following short code (below) into a Sample page, but when I go to view the page, the social login buttons do not appear. What appears is the short code I pasted.

This is the short code I pasted into my Sample page:

[userpro_social_connect width=”400px”]

I tried other short codes provided like [userpro template=activity], but the same thing happens: When I go to view the page I don’t see the activity feed, just the short code I pasted.

I did try to switch to another theme like Twenty Fourteen, but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
