Hi,
We are using the enhanced member directory. We currently have a search feature on the left hand side bar, but when we try to use it, for some reason the website is re-directing to the homepage with this in the URL:
?emd-first_name=Angela&emd-last_name=&emd-office=all&emd-department=all&emd-search=Filter+Search
So it looks like it is trying to search, but for some reason it’s going to the index instead of staying on the directory page to complete the search.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Unfortunately I cannot provide a link as it is hosted internally on our servers right now. I can provide screenshots or additional details if needed.
Thank you!
Hi, I’ve just bought the plugin and I have the same exact issue:
So it looks like it is trying to search, but for some reason it’s going to the index instead of staying on the directory page to complete the search.
Thank you
@aversan,Evoty – I checked this on my test site and it is working fine. I need your site details to check the issue.
Request you to please raise the issue using the contact form on my profile page along with the site details, this would help me to track the issue to closure. Link to contact page is – http://codecanyon.net/user/DeluxeThemes#contact Thanks.Hi, our website is actually hosted internally at the moment so it would be impossible to provide login credentials. We will be moving to a domain soon, so at that point I will provide them.
Since Evoty is having a similar issue, maybe they could provide theirs?
@aversan – Sure – please provide site details when your site goes live. For test purpose can you please create new page with this shortcode [userpro template=emd] and check if you get the same issue.
@Evoty – Can you please share your site details via this link – http://codecanyon.net/user/DeluxeThemes#contact ? so that I can check the issue. Thanks
Hi @mjsupport userpro, i have the same issue, but can provide some clarification on whats going on.
When you click search, the url ends up as http://website.com/?searchuser=searchterm&emd-gender=&emd-country=
which obviously wont search users… as it is searching from teh main domain.
It should read:
http://website.com/?page_id=10848&searchuser=searchterm&emd-gender=&emd-country=in fact you can even type the above in your url to prove it woudl work that way
so basically we have to change in teh code so it uses “&” instead of “?” and goes at teh end of the page id.
I could do this… but im a little bitr noob and cant find whichever PHP file determines the structure of the URL after the search term is submitted. Could you provide clarification on which code file decides this information? Thanks,
megapup
