I wasn’t referring to custom php in plugin settings, but rather a regex field under field options that is checked against. This is how most registration/user profile/form plugins do it as well as various database entry plugins.
Let’s start with 4 off the top of my head:
1) Gravity Forms
2) Fast Secure Contact Forms
3) Formidable Forms
4) Participants database
Anyways, I’m tired of this discussion. It’s an obvious feature for any plugin that handles registration which is missing. Please close this topic as it’s going round in circles and it seems I need to get a dev to insert this basic feature.
It’s indeed a basic feature, and you can do it with a few lines of php (unlimited validation on any field you want)
