When my users log in and click on “My Profile” which takes them to their profile page, can the link show url.com/profile/first-lastname instead of url.com/profile? I think having each user know what their own urls are would be very helpful, as I can’t supply every single one with the url to their own profile.
Each profile has a permalink, like yours! http://userproplugin.com/userpro/profile/hnryzhng/
It’s visible and accessible easily from member directory, profile, or social stream, or any other shortcode.
Thanks for the quick answer, but is there a way to show the url once the user logs in and goes to the My Profile page? For my website, the url that shows up is simply wiselit.com/profile. I realize I can access it from the member directory or an author box at the end of each of their articles, but those are rather indirect, and instead I would like my users to be able to easily know what their profile permalinks (they’re using it as a portfolio for their work) are by just going to their own profile.
For example, if you want people logging in to be redirected to their own URL.
In functions/ajax.php
if (userpro_get_option(‘after_login’) == ‘profile’){
$output[‘redirect_uri’] = $userpro->permalink();
}change to
if (userpro_get_option(‘after_login’) == ‘profile’){
$output[‘redirect_uri’] = $userpro->permalink($user->ID);
}This will make users logging in go to their permalink URL instead (directly)
