I have installed userpro on multi-site using one wordpress install but the users do not carry over to my second site using a different theme but the same wordpress, do I need an api or ?
Hi Bruce
It’s not a Userpro issue, it’s just like WordPress Multisite works. Without Userpro, if an user registers on one site of your network, he will be affected at this one exclusively. If you want to allow him to log into all your websites you have to manually add these sites to his profile in the admin panel of your network, or use a plugin that make it automatically.
This feature is beyond the field of UserPro, it’s just the operation of native wordpress.
Hi 🙂
I’ll invite Multisite experts to answer you asap on this. Please verify your purchase in the meantime
The experts have answered you at the same moment, It seems 😉
I suggest Multisite User Management
I use it on my network, works perfectly along side UserPro
seem there is a conflict when using in multi site. If I bookmark a post in one site it shows up correctly in My Profile but in the other site in My profile it show as “content removed” if I remove that by hitting the remove button it removes out of both.
Yes, that’s because posts are defined on subsite, not network wide. Right? 🙂 Nexnivis
so what it looks like is, I have one post in each site bookmarked, in my user profile it shows 2 bookmarks in collections which is correct, but in only shows the title and url of the bookmarked post in the site that your are in and the other one says “Content removed” so my question is can it show all bookmarks for the network or can I change the wording “content removed”
Posts are not network wide. Each subsite has his own posts!
The database is divided in different sections for each subsite, something like wp_1_posts wp_2_posts wp_3_posts etc… Also posts and pages id are specific to one subsite.
I suggest you to change “content removed” by “This content is on a different website of our network”. But in the case of you really removes a post it will be embarrassing 😀
So is it possible to change the wording so it doesn’t look bad saying “Content Removed” in the Bookmark Collection ?
