Hi,

How can I allow the user to search members by a custom field.
For example allow them to choose a profession from the available professions via menu?

This feature has been introduced in latest version and just been improved to allow range search.

How do i hide text input field in search “search for a user”?

Use the latest version from here http://userproplugin.com/userpro/customer_portal/ and use the following shortcode option to turn default search input off 😉
