Hello,
Member search don’t find partial matches and show “No users match your search. Please try again”.
It appear with:
– Profile Permalink Structure = Full Name
– User Display Name Field = Full Name
– Shortcode = [userpro template=memberlist memberlist_filters=last_name,first_name]
I’m using UserPro 1.0.87 in a new WordPress 3.9 installation without other plugins.I have not found answers in the forum. Thank you for assistance.
What did you try and what do you expect to see in results? Please give me more details
Hello Ahmed,
On this website I have 5 test users:
http://s473313392.sito-web-online.it/trial1398964420/members/
The newest member (Kate Moore) does not appear in the search results.
Instead, other users appear if I insert name, surname or part of them in member search. I got this result only after editing their profile.
In summary: a user does not appear in the search results after the registration but only after he edited his profile.Do you let them choose display name during registration? That could be the reason. If they do not have display name in usermeta, maybe you’re not getting any results for that reason
Maybe it’s like you think. Users, however, can’t choose: the display name must be only the last and first names.
Can you fix it?That’s why you won’t be able to search based on display name, unless you include first name in search filters.
Whatever the reason, after registration I expect that users with a published profile appear in the search results without a second step to change any data (sex, address or public visibility of a field) 🙂
Now, unfortunately, this happens. My goal is:
– Registering with last name and first name for all users (or users sort by last name).
– Users Table (Custom Columns) with last name or first name or full name linked to profile (in my case the username must not appear to the public).
Is that possible with a UserPro update? Or do you have other ideas, suggestions (other plugins compatible with UserPro)?
