We set up admin and contributor accounts manually and all of those show up fine when you click on each profile.
3 users have created subscriber accounts but when you click on their profile it comes up 404 not found.
Here is our member directory: http://www.mavensofmakeup.com/members-2/
The members in question are:
http://www.mavensofmakeup.com/profile-2/mandy.waskochadwell/
http://www.mavensofmakeup.com/profile-2/Stacey/

Please advise on this.
Thanks,
Dave
Hi Dave,
Question 1: Does it happen with ALL MEMBERS or just these?
Question 2: If you bought UserPro, it’d help to put the purchase code in your profile please.
I did buy UserPro, I have another profile on here but I couldn’t log in.
It ONLY happens with these user created profiles. The profiles I created manually (which are for the owners/admins of the site) work fine.
The profiles we set up as admins and contributors work fine. You can see these under “Victoria” or “Devin” or “admin”.
The profiles set up when a user signs up themselves don’t work.
Strange, can you try to reset permalink settings, e.g. use “username” as permalink strucutre in UserPro general settings.
I tried all of those settings and nothing is working. It’s kind of hard having a community when nobody can see each other’s profiles. Please advise.
Hi Dave,
Please try ID as permalink setting and put a link to your members page after doing so. Thanks! 🙂 I need to check this specific setting.
ok so currently the User ID is the permalink setting in Global Options (UserPro settings). The member directory is: http://www.mavensofmakeup.com/members-2/
What’s interesting here is that I’m not getting the 404 error anymore with this setting BUT when I click on a user’s profile it always goes to mine (whoever is logged in) NOT the user’s profile I’m trying to view.
That’s very strange. Can you try to disable all plugins to find culprit? It’s strange, when I try to view another user profile it asks me to login?
Well it’s not a plugin conflict. I deactivated them all first (except User Pro) and it didn’t work.
So here is what it’s doing:
A. If you are not logged in and go to view a member profile it asks you to login (I actually thought this made sense and was working normally).
B. Once you are logged in, when you click on someone else’s profile, it just goes to your own profile (even though in the URL it’s changing to a different user profile #, for example it will go to http://www.mavensofmakeup.com/profile-2/26/ and then if you click on another member’s profile it will switch to http://www.mavensofmakeup.com/profile-2/25/, etc).
Hi Dave,
Do you mean that clicking on any member’s profile goes to your own profile?
yes that is what it’s doing currently even though the URL changes.
