I don’t know why admin deleted my old thread, but due to the lack of support my team and I are flushing out errors with the UserPro plugin.
Earlier yesterday i initially posted problems with this plugin and several issues on my site. We are using Enfold’s themeforest theme, and have never encountered any issues regarding plugins before.
We are upgrading from User Profile Made Easy, which doesn’t have the functionality we want.
Problems on our issue:
1) Advanced Layout Builder, Text Editor and Visual editor switching problems. Petain to Tinymce and Some Type Errors
2) Editing Profile on the front end re-directs to the Userpro login screenNow we’ve discovered a common issue, several UserPro login links link to a mysterious /#, essentially meaning there is a conflict between the theme and plugin. We’ve disabled all plugins and completely re-installed our site with no fixes. UserPro was the only plugin active and the problem remained.
There is one common occurrence, and when you either edit your profile or in the WP dashboard switch between editors it links to a mysterious # or /# on the front-end.
We will keep you guys updated due to the lack of support commitment from this team.UserPro links use # as anchor to trigger ajax calls. There maybe a jquery/javascript conflict causing this to happen. It’s impossible for me to guess what you talk about since you didn’t provide any valid URL or WP-admin/FTP account to check what error you speak about. 🙂
Lack of support? Def. not lack of support, If I monitor support during weekends, and I absolutely made it clear that support has a specific policy, you posted under test account- so simply the post was removed in accordance with this guideline: http://userproplugin.com/userpro/forums/topic/please-read-the-support-rules-before-posting/
You want real support? Try the support of other plugins 😉 I do not mean to be too offensive, but it frustrates me to talk about lack of support, with UserPro plugin.
Add to that, you didn’t fulfill any support policy guideline: No URLs, no login info, didn’t verify purchase, etc, etc. And spreading panic with the word “MASSIVE ERRORS”. I think the issue is as simple as javascript conflict, but I can’t correct it with the blind side here.
I’d also like to note, we really really want to incorporate this plugin into our Website. It looks amazing and has great functionality. That’s the reason we’ve re-purchased a 2nd profiling plugin, we want this to work very much 🙂
Ok, I’ve changed permalink structure for plugin to “username” and this has worked fine:
http://www.coinssource.com/profile/edit/e.g. I can click edit/view profile etc, what’s the page that has direct conflict exactly? 🙂
Hello Ahmed,
The http://www.coinssource.com/profile/edit/ Works fine when you access it directly, we’ve not had an issue with that. Inspect the Userpro plugin (in the backend) and open console, you will then receive several jquery errors when you click through some of the features.
Also, when your logged in access http://www.coinssource.com/profile then click edit profile and you will see the errors
Also we are still unable to access any of our pages or switch between our editors in the backend while this plugin is activated.
1) Add a new page in our pages, then try flipping through visual, text and advanced layout builder. You will encounter several TinyMCE errors.
It can help me also speed up the debugging if you tell me what errors you get in console, there must be a JS conflict/error somewhere, that’s not “common” but it happens with some themes/plugins. Can you give me idea about these errors (The errors stopping shortcodes from loading, and making weird backend behavior)
Resolution found for the Jquery issues:
1) Enter PHPMYADMIN
2) Clean your wp-options table, scrape everything that does not pertain to the functionalty of your site. Be care i’d back up your site before doing this.
3) Disable all plugins
4) Enable all plugins (or enable them 1 by 1 and see if you encounter errors with the jquery)
5) Jquery errors fixed.Ahmed, we are still having issues regarding the Edit profile link in our site /profile.
We’d appreciate if you take another look and see if you can fix this error. You can access the /profile/edit but you can’t access the edit profile through /profile
Purchased the messaging add-on, recieve jquery error (only when you click the messaging) /wp-content/plugins/userpro-messaging/scripts/userpro-msg.js?ver=3.9
TypeError: data is null
And i’m unable to view users profiles, i get re-directed back to my own profile.
