Hi There,
I just bought and installed the plugin. I did not make any changes in the settings page but was trying to check the profile login page. I had to logout from my wordpress login to see how the login page would be visible to a visitor. After that, I’ve been logged out of the system. Reset password, login or create a new account, nothing works.
Even the domainname.com/wp-admin login page is being redirected to plugins.php page
Your urgent help is appreciated.
Thanks.Hi,
I called my hosting company and got it fixed. but what do i need to do so that this does not repeat itself?

Thanks,
ShilpiWell, I use a console software installed somewhere else that I use to manage both my own sites and some of my clients sites. So, I always have a back door to get into the site should something like that happen. However, I have also used plugins like Hide My WP, plugins like that give you a link to log in on the backend, that isn’t affected by the redirect of frontend login plugins like UserPro. And still keeps people away from the backend of the site.
That all said, it depends on whether or not you want to have the backend redirected to the frontend.
If you don’t mind someone logging in from the backend, then you can change the redirect in UserPro that sends people to the frontend.Alternatively, you can use ftp and if it happens again, and you are sure it is UserPro that caused the problem with you not being able to log in, then just rename the folder UserPro is in and WordPress should deactivate UserPro because of the change in directory name. Then you can log in from the backend.
I am curious though, are you sure it was UserPro that locked you out?
So, the create a new account, login, forgot password or login with facebook still don’t work. What customization am I missing? http://www.socialstrategi.com/profile
Also, how can I find the shortcode to add to the login page?
You may want to disable the “backend login redirecting to frontend login” until you find the conflicting part in your theme or plugins. The redirection settings are located in General Options (which allow you to hide backend pages and redirect users to frontend pages automatically) Thanks!
@shilpi there is one thing for sure. There’s something STOPPING userpro javascript from functioning and that’s why you can’t do anything (Obvious) please change your theme, and/or deactivate ALL other plugins and see if this fixes the issue so we can be sure it is not UserPro doing this. Thanks
Here for example, when I click any button I get a refresh
which means JS is not working.
You can find the shortcode to add to a login page by looking above under the Menu Item “Docs” and choose “Shortcode Reference”. The shortcodes are on that page.
What you might be missing is, you seem to be using something to minify all of the JS files on your site. And that probably is causing a lot of issues. Either that or you have some bad code on your site because what is showing up in the errors is obfuscated code. I’m no expert in those things, but things don’t look right on my end.
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token .
and several of the following is showing up:
Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined.Indeed, it is a JavaScript issue. 🙂 That’s why he could not log in back earlier (Since frontend login is the only way when redirection is enabled) Just my guess.
Those things are not coming from UserPro.
This isn’t a how to topic. This is either a support topic or a customization help (not included in support). This topic will be moved from this area to one of those two places as soon as I determine which of them this falls under.
@Central Geek, I moved it to Support already. 🙂 I can’t stay for longer – So I will post again the quick tests that should be made:
– Change theme
– Disable plugins (W3 total cache)Check if that fixes the issue. Thanks, I’ll be able to check again tomorrow
Disabling the W3 total cache plugin did the trick!!!
Thank you for all your help.
