Images break when "force items to be equal height"

I desperately need all items in grid to be the same size and when I select the force items to be equal height and set the height and width to be the same all images break and don’t show in safari on my macbook pro. Any clues as to whats going on here? thank you!

this is for the gridfx polugin btw, I don’t understand why the support sends me to the forum for another plugin
