Hi,
I need to hide Admin users from the members directoy, do you know how?
Best regards
I would like to know this as well. I don’t want my admin profile to be listed along with the rest of the names that come up with a memberlist.
I am using [userpro template=memberlist search=0] as my shortcode.
An alternative (for me at least) would be to have the ability to specify users to be hidden. Something like
[userpro template=memberlist search=0 hide_users=”somename1,somename2″]Hi,
I’m using this shortcode
[userpro template=emd emd_fields=0 emd_bio=0 emd_social=0 emd_filters=0 emd_col_width=”10%” emd_per_page=24 emd_paginate=0]
My need is to hide admin users, and would be great and helpful to hide specific users too.
Best regards
Have you tried the opposite logic (whitelist)?
[userpro template=memberlist role=subscriber]
Best regards,
keyhanjunIs there a way to whitelist more than one role? That would limit it to admins. I tried [userpro template=memberlist role=”subscriber, editor” and it does not work.
And I would still love to know how to hide individual users by username. That is more of a priority for me.
Yes,
I had tried [userpro template=memberlist role=subscriber] but i need to show all roles except Admin roles and i need to use the template=emd and the role=subscriber is not working with template=emd.
I can now tell you what NOT to do. Do not use the shortcode below. I thought it would show every role but admin. However, it instead took down my entire site by being stuck in some data query loop.
[userpro template=memberlist memberlist_v2_bio=0 sortby=name order=asc memberlist_v2_showbadges=0 per_page=30 role=subscriber,contributor,author,editor]
I had to contact my host to stop the queries and they referred to this as the problem (I took my database name out of the query requests)
13290 Query 573 Copying to tmp table SELECT DISTINCT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS wp_users.* FROM wp_users INNER JOIN wp_usermeta ON wp_users.ID =
15184 Query 486 Waiting for table level lock UPDATEwp_usermeta
SETmeta_value
= ‘0’ WHEREuser_id
= 1 ANDmeta_key
= ‘show_welcome_panel
16445 Query 428 Waiting for table level lock SELECT wp_users.* FROM wp_users INNER JOIN wp_usermeta ON (wp_users.ID = wp_usermeta.user_id) INNERI would really like to know how to (1) hide admin users or (2) hide specified users. If neither is possible, could this be in a future release? I would think it would be a common request for admins to not want their admin user to show if they are listing users for a client’s site.
This is how WP works, the multi roles (when there are more than 2 generally) will cause this. I need to work on a shortcode option to hide admin users, or specific users, please stay tuned for this update.
Thanks!
Please download the new update now! 🙂
The new version now supports a parameter to exclude/hide specific users you want from member directory.
Example:
[userpro template=memberlist exclude=1,2,…]
Comma seperated list of user IDs to hide from members directory.
Is there a code similar to the above code that works with the emd shortcode?
