I’m using GridFX primarily to create a magazine layout of articles. I have multiple grids on a page and want to include some posts in one grid, but exclude posts from that grid from another. For example: I have posts in category “Lead Story” and/or “News” and/or “Features”. I want the “Lead Story” grid to only contain those posts, but the “News” grid to include “News” and “Features”, but exclude any articles that are also in the “Lead Story” category. So, for clarity, I’ve got category id’s L, N, and F. Here is what is in my shortcode:
Lead Story Grid: include_terms=”L”
News Grid: include_terms=”N,F” exclude_terms=”L”The News grid is currently bringing up everything with the N and F category even if a post is also in the L category. It would seem this logic should be (category = includeTerm1 OR category = includeTerm2) AND (category != includeTerm3)

I can work around this manually, but shouldn’t this work as I’ve described?
Thanks,
RobI think the problem is by combining both include_terms and exclude_terms in one query. Did you find that either of them “only” will work, but together they do not work?
Yes, they work independently, but not together. This might be a limitation (which would be good to document) or a bug, depending upon your perspective. I think, however, if it is limitation it would be nice to explore making this work. There are many valid scenarios for this, and it is quite helpful for automating page displays without having to go into articles and switch around tags and such. If there’s a plugin that lets you change up posts based upon dates and/or other criteria, I’d love to hear about them.

Yes it is a limitation by the WordPress tax query itself
I am having the same issue. Is there a workaround for this?
@kommunen ,
Can you please verify your purchase as mentioned in the Support Forum Instructions please ? Thank you.
How To:
1. open http://userproplugin.com/userpro/profile/edit/
2. copy & paste your purchase code into the “Envato Purchase Code” field
3. click on “Save Changes”@kommunen ,
I tried it here by manipulating the code but still not working.
As Ahmed said above it is the limitation of the WordPress.
