Hi Marc,
can you list the steps you’ve made so far and any screenshot of the result you’re getting can help us provide a good answer.
hi 🙂
ok so 1 st i want to ave in the member list sort by last login date an avec this last login date display on member list if you ave a solution for that its no need to resolv the bug just give mee the sniped or wat y need
2 tho ave the last login date y upload a other plugin: WP Last Login “Displays the date of the last login in user lists.” this login take the curent date wen a login action is made put it on the wp database in relation with the user id an display it on the user list , its works an displau the date in the user liste like dath : 05/01/2014 (sow its folowing the date format you ask in wordpress)
3 this create a meta key that its corectly take by user pro, i see it in user pro ; “Add New Field” in “Or select/sync an existing meta field key” and is wp-last-login
4 wen y put tis shortcode on memeberlit page to test it “[userpro template=memberlist no_style=false sortby=’wp-last-login’ memberlist_v2_pic_size=200 memberlist_pic_rounded=0 memberlist_v2_fields=age,gender,country,wp-last-login]”
a) its returns the last login date but in a unix date ” 1388938355″ in place of the date format put on wordpress
b) the list is not sorted by “‘wp-last-login'” (maby a sintax error in the shotcode for this ?)5 wen y take a look in the database the lastlogin date is also in a unix date format storad (witch i goud for sordby capabilities)
6 the ” WP Last Login” plugin stor corectly the date in the database, diplay it in the good format on the wp users list , the meta key commes coretly in userpro , the shortcode display the information in the memeber list
So its sims to bee just a bug in the date format that is diplay on the member list
I try severals sniped to force tehe date format in severals ‘templats” an “function” of userpro but i cant fix itThanks
By the way o mutch time take it to remove the green light wen a user it’s logout ? (its seams to bee long)
is dear a way to ave a answer, no answers on mails non real answers on forum y am waiting for this from the 30 december please please please
Hi Marc,
I see that you posted your request for assistance with custom fields for a custom display of the last log in date, on January 5, 2014 at 1:44 pm. That isn’t December 30. If you were asking for help somewhere else, you should have been here.
What you are asking for is for UserPro to display the date in a different way from what WordPress stores it (if I can figure out what you are saying, because your writing isn’t clear). Yes, you have another plugin that stores it the way you want it to display. And that is fine, but please understand. There is one man handling the coding of this plugin.
If you have looked around the forums here, you will see that there are a lot of things going on here. @Support is doing a great job of spreading himself around, and providing needed updates. Please don’t become impatient. He will do what he can as soon as he can. What you are asking for is not within normal support and at this point, I don’t see your request as actually a bug. It seems more like a feature request to me.
However,
Let me ask you. When you go into your settings in the WordPress dashboard, and you go to the General menu tab, what is the date format you have set there? Let’s start there.
The faster you respond, the faster we can have a conversation. If you take a day to respond, don’t get upset if I am helping someone else and it takes me a day to respond back to you. The same with @Support.
Date format on wordpress 07/01/2014
thanks for try to helping mee (yes my english is very bad)
nb)
1 y send e mail from the 30 december y alsa post in presales part of the firum
2 Its a bug y ave in fact put a new meta key an the listing isn’t sort by this meta key (maby its just a syntax trubel in the shortcode)
for the fact to ave the login date in the god format y don(t now if it’e a bug or a requestThat’s okay, I know a lot of people who were born in English speaking countries and their English is very bad.. 🙂 I just wanted you to know I am having a problem understanding what you are saying. So, if I misunderstand, please bear with me.
I am not the coder of the plugin. So, I don’t know if this is a bug or not. I am here to try and confirm what exactly is going on so that I can relate it to the developer and he can address it as soon as he can. I cannot call something a bug if I cannot confirm it.
Do you have a way of providing a screenshot of the field and the display you are getting. I would like to see if I can replicate it. If I can get the same or similar result, then I can confirm it is a bug. But, without me being able to see what you are talking about, it is going to be hard to help on this one. At least for me it will be.
ok
the way its displayd in member list v2 Female / Belgium / 1389117793 (like you see the date coming in unix format in place off the wordpress format) (the date its aloso stored in that way in the wp database and thats the good way to ave sort by capabilities)
the shorcode y put [userpro template=memberlist no_style=false sortby=’wp-last-login’ memberlist_v2_pic_size=200 memberlist_pic_rounded=0 memberlist_v2_fields=age,gender,country,wp-last-login]”
Maby sortby=’wp-last-login’ is not te good waythe way the oder plugin take the date (in fact its just the curent date wen there is a login action)
/**
* Update the login timestamp
*
* @author Konstantin Obenland
* @since 1.0 – 23.01.2012
* @access public
*
* @param string $user_login The user’s login name
*
* @return void
*/
public function wp_login( $user_login ) {
$user = get_user_by( ‘login’, $user_login );update_user_meta( $user->ID, $this->textdomain, time() );
}
sothing like this must resolve the date format but i don’t now ware to put it on user pro
function my_last_login( ) {
return ‘j F Y H:i’;
}add_filter(‘wpll_date_format’, ‘my_last_login’);
wen a put this on my theme its changin the date format on the user list from wordpress but not on user pro
By the wai iff you ave a other way tho ave tke memeber list sortby the last login date and dipplau on the member list for mmee it’s grate (no need of the capabilutis off the oder plugin)
Please
1) is sortby=’wp-last-login’ the god sharcode to put the sortby ?
2)that the code tath given mee the oder plugin devloper to instal and resolved the date format diplay BUT WERE in user profunction custom_date_format( $format ) {
return get_option(‘date_format’) . ‘ ‘ . get_option(‘time_format’);
}
add_filter( ‘wpll_date_format’, ‘custom_date_format’ );Hi Marc, I do not understand what are you trying to do? and is it part of UserPro featrures? thanks!
Admin can change the Date format(dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy or etc) from the back end is available from the version 2.8.
Thank you!Hi Marc
I know this thread is 1 year old but did you manage to sort users by last login using wp-last-login plugin? I am trying to do the same but there doesn’t seem to be an answer!
If you have any advice please share, thanks!
