After installing this plugin my staff can no longer access the back-end to make posts and publish them.
This is an option (not a bug)
Go to Global Options > Redirection & Backend Settings and turn off
Redirect backend to front-end
This way, non-admins can see the backend parts/pages. 🙂
Hope that helps!
How do I set it so only authors, editors and admin can access backend but subscribers are redirected to front end?
I only want subscribers to be able to comment and post to the bbpress forum, but the people who create blog content for my site need to be able to access the backend.
Yes, I was also wondering how we can redirect users with certain roles to the backend, but keep subscribers to the frontend only. Just like the “Redirect admin to dashboard always” option under Login Setting in Global Options, but for editor roles.
This is being added as option (Critical – in next update) to address this specific issue. Then you can choose Roles that can always access backend.
I have tried doing as you said, but people marked author still cannot access the backend.
