Hi I’m getting a 404 error every time I try logging in using this plugin, or any other ajax front end function this plugin tries to do. the plugin popus up a “Not Found” alert box and firebug is displaying a 404 error…
it is referencing the admin-ajax file just fine and the link it tries to reference brings up a 0 – which is what I’d expect.
The only ajax function that work are ones that change the page from login to reset etc…
I really need this plugin to work.
The website is http://bbdev.digitalduetlabs.com.au/ – click on the login/register link up the top right and you will see

Thank you so much!
Sorry I posted this before seeing your item comment. 🙂 I will check your website now..
It looks like the admin-ajax URL is giving 404 error. This is “unusual”. this file is needed for any ajax-based function in UserPro, ok upon further investigation – it seems something does not look right. Can I have your FTP and WP-admin to test stuff?
I have emailed ftp details to you,
I have tried a lot of solutions including turning off .htaccess security in the wp-admin folder:
<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterInheritance Off
</IfModule>strangely enough ajax seems to work for everything else, including how the plugin gets the content for password reset page etc…
I’ve also checked the .htaccess file and it looks normal for wordpress
We would like to go with another plugin for this purpose, could we please get a refund for our purchase
Hi Christopher, this is not a UserPro bug – I think you can be sure of that pretty fast and pretty easily. Just allow me to investigate what could be the issue. your ajax request is giving 404 error which is not a UP thing. I am not sure why people blame UserPro for everything, while having broken themes, and other plugin conflicts. This is not proper.
After more research, it looks like my topic that I started here:
http://userproplugin.com/userpro/forums/topic/unable-to-register-not-found-error/#post-20199Is the same root cause issue of this admin-ajax.php 404 error.
Was there a solution to this problem?
I have also tried several modifications to my htaccess file (per wordpress forums), but none seem to work. NOR do I think I should have to in order to get this plugin working.
Stevenolli I’d like to check if admin-ajax.php returns 404 error for all ajax requests, if that’s the case, it’s not a userpro bug, it means all ajax plugins can’t work on your site, not just this plugin. Can I check this?
Hello Everyone,
I’m getting the same issue on my website. Can anyone please let me know the solution??
Thanks.
Sorry for my bad English.
