Hi
My admins often add users. I’d like them to add users by using a front end add user.
What’s the best way to do this with userpro?
This way user will get alert about created account and can then fill in all the extra details.
Hey Lab,
There is no way to add users on the front end yet, as far as I know. However, I’m sure you would be able to create a custom form to make this possible, with gravity forms or something like that. Even if it isn’t through the “userpro” registration, it will still create them a userpro profile that you can link them to so they can edit it.
Also, you can redirect backend profiles to front end. So, even if you sent them an email with the backend profile link it would still redirect them to the front end userpro one.
Hope that helps! π
Cheers
You can use the userpro register form to add new users. π Why not? π
Please remember to verify your purchase.
Thanks!
@Ahmed – Can you add new users as a logged in admin using the register form?
I have a verified purchase. What more do you need?I have just tried this and it didn’t work.
I created a test page and added:[userpro template=register]BUT when viewed by a logged in admin, it shows their details and doesn’t let them register a new user!
Lab, I constantly asked you to verify purchase on the support site. Please do this. Thanks π
The answer to your question is already covered in plugin options.
Normally, when you visit the register form when you’re logged in – you will see a compact profile for yourself, but you can disable that via the plugin settings. How?
Answer: Go to UserPro > Global Options > Registration Settings
Show logout If user is logged in alreadySet this to No. Then you can access register form even if you are logged in.
It works? π
1) Where do you verify purchase?? Got to homepage, click on support tab. It goes here http://userproplugin.com/userpro/forums/, and do a search for “verify” and you can’t find anywhere to verify! It’s not clear at all how to verify! (and it’s not in the rules either HOW to verify your support!)
2) I want to only apply this to a specific form not globally. How do I do that? I.e. I have a few forms and globally I want it showing compact profile, but for 1 specific form I want it showing register.
3) “Answer: Go to UserPro > Global Options > Registration Settings
Show logout If user is logged in already. Set this to No. Then you can access register form even if you are logged in.” – Again, I want to show this ONLY on my “add staff” form. How do I apply it only to that form not globally?Pity. Am I correct that this plugin is really only for 1 form rather than multi-forms? It seems that as soon as you start using more than 1 form you need to hire a coder? Just trying to understand it’s limitations before spending too much time integrating it.
That’s not true! π
You can setup multiple registration forms, and each form can have specific fields. What do you want to do beyond that? Just connect each form to a role?
1) Set specific roles for each form. (e.g. “Customer” “Staff” “Supplier”) – currently with your forms they are all 1 role!
2) 3) βAnswer: Go to UserPro > Global Options > Registration Settings – again, only apply this to certain forms not ALL forms.I’ll work on these features, they sound realistic. I’ll update the changelog as soon as these features are done.
