The only reason I purchased this plugin was so I can have my users “add media” (upload pictures as posts). I learned that you have disabled this function. Why? When can I get this ability back? If not, please give me a refund because that’s ridiculous.
Thanks.
Hello ,
Currently you can upload image as a featured image only in frontend publisher .
Please feel free to let us know if there is anything else we can do to help you.
Thank you!I know about the featured image. That does not serve the purpose of why I purchased your plugin. I’m very disappointed. When do you expect the “add media” feature will be back? I will have to ask for a refund if possible.
Bump. Has there been any progress in adding the “Add Media” ability to the front end publisher? I don’t want “featured image”, it does not work the way it should.
Hi,
There is not an option to enable the media upload from frontend publisher . There was a concern about using the media upload feature on the frontend. It is a security issue. You will need to use the backend if you wish to upload images. The media upload functionality can’t be added to the frontend because it creates a secuity issues as well as an issue with everyone being able to view all files uploaded via admin backend.. Not a good practice at all.
I hope this helps you understand why the media upload feature isn’t there. However you can use Media Manager plugin to upload the Pictures , Videos , Media which gives users and ability to upload Media to their profiles from front end profile .
Thanks !
