Hello mate,
On this page: http://userproplugin.com/userpro/01-photo-blog-post/
Under the article there’s an “About the author” widget.
How can I add this to my own website? What shortcode is being used.Thanks alot and keep up the good work!!
MichaelThis is a theme feature and not a UserPro feature. 🙂
Thanks Michael!
Can you please verify your purchase on the forums? 🙂
Hi Ahmed,
I verified my purchase code.
About the feature, is it possible to add an author box likes your to my website?
Kind regards,
MichaelIn other words, the author box is shown on a post, but not really part of the plugin. So there is no possible way to show the post author box with avatar, mail and messaging function on a single.php? Such as here in the forum for example.
[userpro template=card user=author] I guess this is would do the trick. And as php in single.php then would be?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks. (Well, I assume a purchase of the product entitles me to a little support haha)
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[userpro template=card user=author]’); ?>
Correct?
That looks correct Richard. I would test it on a staging environment just to make sure.
Now just how to change the size of the user photo or shape or eliminate altogether? Are there shortcodes for the template=card instance as well?
Thanks!
Hi Richard,
Did you have any luck with this? I’ve been trying to do something similar by either having it at the bottom or showing the card as a widget on the right.
Thank you,
MarcelHi Marcel,
I didn’t receive an answer regarding modifying the card.
I just added this in the single.php file, anywhere you would like it:
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[userpro template=card user=author]‘); ?>
As for the widget, that might be a problem, because the widget is in a sidebar which doesn’t know which page you’re own. Theoretically, you would need to create multiple custom sidebars and place a sidebar for every instance via the edit page for example.

With Woo Sidebars you could base the sidebar by taxonomy.
Thanks Richard. I’ll attempt several approaches and see what works best and will share.
