It’s something with our server because I tried it on a different server with no problems. I appreciate the help @support.
Sorry for the delay, I had to contact our IT who is in charge of the servers (but not the sites). He just got back today and said he installed curl for me but I am getting the same error. Now I know these IT guys are super secure with their hosts and only enable the bare minimum. Could there possibly be something else I need to tell them that needs to be activated?
I too am interested in knowing if I can restrict the entire site with this plugin.
