Hi Brincy,
I had assigned a parent page to the ‘profile’ page. When I removed the parent, the 404 problem was fixed. Does that work for you too?
On another note, profile-2 suggests you have 2 profile pages. I think it’s a good idea to remove the other (without -2) either from your published or trashed pages, and rename the permalink of your profile-2 into profile.
A reply would be very welcome
Ok, I worked out that if I don’t assign a parent to the profile page, clicking a profile picture to get to the extended profile, works. 🙂
Perhaps you can help me with part 2 of my question. I would like to list most recent / all posts from that author on his/her profile page. Alternatively a link from [userpro template=postsbyuser user=author postsbyuser_num=4] to the author archive page could do too, but I have no idea how to format that.
Bonus question: Is it possible to display [userpro template=postsbyuser user=author postsbyuser_num=4] without image posts? I’m mostly using image-less (external) link posts and it looks a bit silly to list all recent posts without an image.
Would be very happy if you could help me.
Sorry, I put the landingpage back up, so the pages are not visible. Have to go out of the office unexpectedly.
Done 🙂 Nice touch that icon
