Okay Alec, when I had problems it extended my urls.
Yours seem okay from that point of view.Sorry didn’t help with your issue..
Hope you can get it sorted mate, maybe someone else can shed some light on it?in reply to: Profile Links not working / 404What are the urls of the pages showing as?
in reply to: Profile Links not working / 404No not at the moment in relation to any of the latest updates.
As I said, it sounded like a similar problem I had in the past on an much older update.
Just to clarify, I’m not saying there is anything wrong with any of the updates per se.Hope that makes sense.
in reply to: Profile Links not working / 404I’m not saying this will fix yours, but I did have a similar problem in the past.
Hope this may help?..Try checking your UserPro “set-up pages”.
You may have MULTIPLE pages set which would cause the urls to interfere. Check your wordpress pages list for possible multi entries.
This happened to me a while ago when I ran an update.Regards
Mikein reply to: Profile Links not working / 404No. Iβve explained that people who bought at least one addon, wonβt need to buy the addons pack again! That would be so unfair
Yes you did. – I’m sorry I totally missed that.
Can’t argue with that then π@Rachel – Probably a good idea to remove your purchase code from post, as it may be grabbed!
You can add your Envato purchase code to your profile on this site.
A badge will then be added to your profile for support (Ahmed) to view.in reply to: Members Directory and User Page Problems@houz4o
I believe some were before.
Some asked/got a refund.. Others just accepted it.My own personal view is, that I believe UserPro is well under-priced anyway and I’ve certainly got value for money.
But, if I had to pay a 3rd time while the late-comers continued to get it cheaper, I think it might start to get on my nerves a bit π
You see with most plugins the early comers & supporters tend to get it at the ‘early cheaper rate’ and as it develops the price then goes up.
Those who come later – therefore pay more… Just seems fairer to me.
With UserPro it’s the other way around – which I think is bit of a shame really.I say Pile it all into one now!!!
Hike the price UP!
We all pay Once for it again from now.
Then the price can increase for everyone else as it continues to improve and develop.
Happy days!Cheers
MikeAhmed,
Wouldn’t it make more sense to just stick it “ALL In One” and be done with it.
Just make each feature selectable, then you won’t have to worry about this kind of thing any more π
Or else a few months down the line …???///???
I would just keep it simple and be done!Just one question..
Is everyone going to have to re-purchase this ‘new addon pack’?
Even if they have purchased all the existing addons, plus the original extensions that are now included in the core? Thanks for all the recent updates!
Cheers
MikeBy using the “profile shortcode” and the “posts by user” shortcode together, doesn’t it do that already?
in reply to: Show Posts by User in profile?Lets get one thing straight, Ahmed gets thumbs up from me all day long!
All I’m saying is he should be very careful when removing ANY functions.
You may not need them, but obviously others may (as ‘Black_op above has pointed out)Obviously the front-end publisher was a big thing for you.
It’s good YOU got what you wanted.. (that’s great!) That doesn’t mean everyone else wanted it, or should have it forced on them.UserPro is developing fast (maybe too fast??) and that’s all great!!!!
BUT!! – You have to bear in mind there is a growing trail of small niggles that need sorting out.
IMO These should be prioritised before any more ‘major updates’ because it’s causing people problems.
It’s hard to get any decent attention on these because the main focus seems to be on the new stuff.
Things seem to be going off the rails at the moment and the UserPro plan/structure changes on a weekly basis, regarding addons etc.
I fear for anyone who doesn’t read these forums, because I do quite regularly I still can’t keep up.
It’s almost Chaos!in reply to: control bar is missing in frontend publisher@ Black_op Basically, Andy asked for it to be removed and it looks like it has now been done.
Unfortunately this is the biggest problem with UserPro at the moment..
Requests by a select few are being pushed through and everyone else has to deal with the consequences when we update. :/I’m struggling now with UserPro as we were promised that all updates would be optional.
Looks like this isn’t the case, but it’s very important that they should be.
I can’t keep up, that every time I update I have to check whether my website still functions the way it should.. It’s crazy!in reply to: control bar is missing in frontend publisherWhat do you mean by “no more paid addons soon”?
What’s the plan? πin reply to: Top bar for UserProSounds great!
I’ll read it properly next Andy time soz.Cheers
Mikein reply to: Front end publisher requests for AhmedYep, that may work for some but alot of people don’t seem to bother to read them.
Or how about “All user private messages” for admin.
This was a feature discussed about before that others said they would find useful also.
You could maybe utalise that.Whatever works I suppose.. π
Regards
