Yes please! Emails are an important component for my user community and MailPoet is one of the top plugins for that. I wish UserPro would work with it.
in reply to: Integration with MailPoet newsletters pluginNot sure about grid view, but for masonry view I was able to make it mobile friendly by using a pixel value instead of a percent value for the column widths in the EMD settings. I also added div.emd-filters {min-width:150px;} to the CSS tab so the search column wouldn’t get squished on smartphones.
I ended up taking “display_name” out of the shortcode. It seemed to be locking up my server. Searches were taking 5-10 minutes and even if I closed the window before the results returned my site wouldn’t respond for a while.
in reply to: Imported users not searchableNevermind, I figured something out. I found a shortcode option that lets me search by first name, last name or display name. Now I am able to find all members when I search for any part of their name.
Here’s what my code looks like…
[userpro template=memberlist memberlist_filters=first_name,last_name,display_name]
I also added a few search drop down boxes so that people can now also filter results by city and another custom parameter.
in reply to: Imported users not searchableActually I think I’ve figured it out. It’s not caused by a conflict with any other plugins. It’s because I was clicking on the Approve button more than once. The number of emails directly corresponded with the number of times I clicked on it.
When I click on the Approve button initially it doesn’t give any indication that anything is happening. A few seconds go by and there’s no little spinning wheel and the page doesn’t appear to be refreshing or loading. I just assume my click hasn’t registered and I click again. Then UserPro sends an extra email notification for each extra time that I’ve clicked. Once I figured out what was happening I successfully clicked once, waited 10-20 seconds for the approval to go through and then only got 1 email notification.
Would be possible in a future release to add something to let people know their first click has registered… a spinning wheel, an error if they click a second time or whatever?
in reply to: Duplicate email notificationsI don’t know if it is related or not, but I had a problem last month with 0 members showing up in the directory. Apparently I created a custom registration field that it didn’t like. I don’t know exactly which one it was, but it was one that I had tried to delete. Even though I deleted it, the data was still stuck in the system. I restored the default fields rebuilt the form from scratch to fix it.
in reply to: Member Directory Empty ListI’ve only been using Firefox, so I’m assuming that was my problem. I added the code to a plugin I created for custom functions on my site and so far so good. It hasn’t asked me to log in unnecessarily yet.
in reply to: Userpro users keep having to log back inIt sounds like someone may have come up with a solution… http://userproplugin.com/userpro/forums/topic/auto-logout-firefox-bug/
in reply to: Userpro users keep having to log back inCan you explain your fix a little more? I’ve been having the same issue and I’d like to fix it, but I’m still sorta new to WP. I can add some code to my theme’s functions.php file, but I don’t understand why that fixes it.
in reply to: Auto logout: Firefox bug?Nope. Not using Facebook Connect.
An example of what’s happening… just now I went to the home page and clicked log in. I clicked to go to my dashboard and had to log in again. I got to the dashboard, tried to make a text change on the homepage but had to log in again. I went back in, made the change again. It let me save, but then it asked me to log in again. That’s 4 log in requests within 5-10 minutes. But sometimes I can work for hours without a problem.
in reply to: Userpro users keep having to log back inI got a reply from him about a different issue I was having, but not about this topic.
Things I’m testing to see if they make any difference…
– Is it because my UserPro pages (login, profile, etc) are sub pages vs having no parent?
– Does it happen when I’m working on both my laptop and desktop at the same time?Originally I thought it was because I was testing user roles and kept logging in with different accounts, but I’m not doing that anymore and still having the problem.
in reply to: Userpro users keep having to log back inThis is very annoying. It stopped happening for a while and then suddenly started up again. There’s no real pattern for when and why it happens.
in reply to: Userpro users keep having to log back inNot sure about icons, but in building my registration form I noticed the separators appear different when they are collapsible vs not collapsible. And, for some reason mine reverted back to not collapsible every time I saved. I had to keep going in and changing it back to collapsible so that it looked the same.
Hope that helps you out.
in reply to: Adding custom fields!Following. I’m having the same issue with redirection after registration not working. Maybe it’s a bug??
