Ok thanks, I just sent you an e-mail through that link. It does come back with an error but I’m not sure it has anything to do with the Userpro problem:
Notice: wp_deregister_script was called incorrectly. Scripts and styles should not be registered or enqueued until the wp_enqueue_scripts, admin_enqueue_scripts, or login_enqueue_scripts hooks. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.3.) in /testsite/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3547 Notice: Constant WP_MEMORY_LIMIT already defined in /testsite/wp-config.php on line 94
I also have this problem, increasing the memory does nothing.
oops, posted the wrong link, here’s my screen shot: http://snag.gy/TXvVB.jpg
Sounds good Ahmed. Check my screen shot for the console error…might help, not sure.

in reply to: Lacking badge save optionSame issue as Spark, my badge page looks exactly like his screen shot, it’s been like that ever since I installed the plugin 3 or 4 updates ago. If I choose “Give this badge to users (manual)”, it says no results match every time for whatever username I start typing even my own admin username.
I’ve noticed 1 “warning” in inspect element that says event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead. for admin.php?page=userpro-badges:1 but I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
in reply to: Lacking badge save optionThat’s the thing with javascript, it’ll tell you one thing but the problem could be a totally different file. I’ve been dealing with javascript errors on my test site as well so I’ve been reading a little bit about them.
Don’t get excited (I’m an amateur like you) but you could try deferring the UserPro scripts so they load later (won’t hurt to try at least), they might be firing too soon or something as I’ve read this sometimes happens with scripts. This is what I have in my functions.php file that defers the UserPro scripts:
Here’s the code I use: http://pastebin.com/0ZEu73hk
It’s not pretty and I’m sure there’s a way to combine them into 1 function but I don’t know how. This adds a “defer” tag to each script so they load later on and this is good to do anyways because Google suggests you defer all scripts.
Sacre? Can you tell me how to do this? Like which file I need to edit and what part to edit. I currently can’t use Display Names in profile links because of this one issue, the only setting that works is User ID and that’s ugly lol
Or be a bud and make it so you can have dashes in usernames by default haha
But a username, you can’t have a dash in it. If you want, you will sacre having a space in usernames, and you can edit that in plugin core to make usernames with dashes load fine in browser.
in reply to: Having Profile Permalink Issue? Please see thisThis reply has been marked as private.in reply to: Having Profile Permalink Issue? Please see thisI’m experiencing this too if I set the profile to Display Name or Username. Any user that was created before I installed UserPro just takes you to a profile error page that says “The user profile you are trying to reach does not exist. It could have been removed”. I have over 80,000 members so this needs to be fixed.
Any user created with UserPro works fine though. I also selected “Allow Dash for Display Names”. Everything works fine if I use “User Id” as the profile link, all profiles work.
in reply to: Having Profile Permalink Issue? Please see thisProducist, isn’t the shortcode right below that example on the home page? Try [userpro template=list list_per_page=3]
in reply to: How to Display Latest Verified Members?Just added my purchase code. So are the 777 permissions ok to use?
in reply to: New Update Available – v1.0.84Every time I update the UserPro plugin my thumbnails screw up. Errors I get are “Could not create the index.html file – to fix this create an empty file named index.html file in the cache directory.” and “Could not open the lockfile for writing an image.”
Is there not a way to set the permissions properly from your end or will I have to change the folder permissions every time I update? I have to set the cache folder to 777 and index.html/timthumb_cacheLastCleanTime.touch to 777 as well to get thumbs to show again, is this safe?
in reply to: New Update Available – v1.0.84After some quick Google’ing I found this code and added the direct url to excanvas from your plugin folder:
PHP123<!--[if lt IE 9]><script type="text/javascript" src="/userpro/scripts/excanvas/excanvas.js"></script><![endif]-->Added that to my header.php file and everything seems ok with UserPro, my tabs and accordion load fine. I noticed you included excanvas.js in the scripts folder but you don’t call it anywhere? This seems like it would make your plugin compatible with IE8
in reply to: How to get UserPro to work nice with Jquery + IE8I’m running the debugger in IE8 and the first error is “object doesn’t support this property or method” on:
this.element=$(document.createElement("div")).addClass("lv_window"),this.element.append(this.skin=$("<div>").addClass("lv_skin")),this.skin.append(this.shadow=$("<div>").addClass("lv_shadow").append(this.canvasShadow=$("<canvas>").attr(a))),this.skin.append(this.bubble=$("<div>").addClass("lv_bubble").append(this.canvasBubble=$("<canvas>").attr(a))),this.skin.append(this.sideButtonsUnderneath=$("<div>").addClass("lv_side_buttons_underneath").append($("<div>").addClass("lv_side lv_side_left").data("side","previous").append($("<div>").addClass("lv_side_button lv_side_button_previous").data("side","previous")).hide()).append($("<div>").addClass("lv_side lv_side_right").data("side","next").append($("<div>").addClass("lv_side_button lv_side_button_next").data("side","next")).hide()).hide()),this.element.append(this.content=$("<div>").addClass("lv_content")),this.element.append(this.titleCaption=$("<div>").addClass("lv_title_caption").hide().append(this.titleCaptionSlide=$("<div>").addClass("lv_title_caption_slide").append(this.title=$("<div>").addClass("lv_title")).append(this.caption=$("<div>").addClass("lv_caption")))),this.element.append(this.innerPreviousNextOverlays=$("<div>").addClass("lv_inner_previous_next_overlays").append($("<div>").addClass("lv_button lv_button_inner_previous_overlay").data("side","previous")).append($("<div>").addClass("lv_button lv_button_inner_next_overlay").data("side","next").hide())),this.element.append(this.buttonTopClose=$("<div>").addClass("lv_button_top_close close_lightview").hide()),J.Relative.create(),J.Top.create(),J.Thumbnails.create(),this.skin.append(this.spinnerWrapper=$("<div>").addClass("lv_spinner_wrapper").hide()),$(document.body).prepend(this.element),Canvas.init(this.canvasShadow[0]),Canvas.init(this.canvasBubble[0]),this.ctxShadow=this.canvasShadow[0].getContext("2d"),this.ctxBubble=this.canvasBubble[0].getContext("2d"),this.applyFixes(),this.element.hide(),this.startObserving()
Something to do with the lightview js maybe? Any way to completely disable lightview to see if that’s the problem? Is excanvas included? I’m reading that lightview works in IE8 but only with excanvas http://forum.nickstakenburg.com/index.php?p=/discussion/2374/lightview-problem-on-ie
