Starting from updated version (v1.0.52) thereโs a button to set featured image when inserting a post via the frontend.
Now I am all ears! ๐
in reply to: Integrating UserPro with your theme comments!Hi @rafilathif
please test it with the most recent version by now & report back:
Just copy your โItem Purchase Codeโ which you will find on Codecanyon & open this link here to always get the latest version of UserPro: http://userproplugin.com/userpro/customer_portal/
This way you will get the most recent version way faster then through the normal Envato review procedure.
Best regards,
keyhanjunin reply to: Profile Picture required field not workingI have just informed the author of the “Commentator WordPress Plugin” via PM in regards to this thread here. Hopefully he will contact Ahmed very soon. I am also interested to combine this plugin with UserPro! ๐
Best regards,
keyhanjunin reply to: Integrating UserPro with your theme comments! But indeed it would be nice if the custom groups created by Groups would show up within the Role-based-fields. ๐
in reply to: [ Resolved ] Custom User RolesIf you are referring to the plugin called “Groups” which you can find here:
Groups and roles are different concepts, indicating a role instead of a group doesn’t really make sense within the framework that Groups provides ๐
Cheers
in reply to: [ Resolved ] Custom User RolesThats strange, hopefully an already eliminated bug! ๐
in reply to: Customizing Profiles@ericaeide
The option you are referring to is a front-end only setting. This means field names you put in there are now always hidden for your users who are browsing other user profiles. ๐
Oddly in the case of James two fields were missing in the backend of UserPro.
Best regards,
keyhanjunin reply to: Customizing ProfilesTry this one here:
[userpro_loggedin]Welcome, [first_name] [last_name]![/userpro_loggedin]
or:
[userpro_loggedin]Welcome, [display_name]![/userpro_loggedin]
This way you can show any field you want. ๐

keyhanjunin reply to: [Resolved] Shordcode listHow to: Add Custom Search Filters to Enhanced Member Directory
1. Create your custom field called “Artistry”:
2. After this drag&drop this field to your โGroups & Fieldsโ section e.g. โEdit Profile Fieldsโ
3. open the file /userpro/addons/emd/functions/shortcode-main.php
4. right under line 17 add this code:
$args[’emd_artistry’] = ‘Search by Artistry,dropdown’;
So that it looks like this:
Tip: Just copy line 17 & put it right under it (line 18) & then customise it.
5. on your “Enhanced Member Directory” page use this shortcode:
[userpro template=emd emd_fields=’gender,country,artistry’]
6. Have fun! ๐
—
If there is a chance to not rely on the emd shortcode this way here is far more easier:
Simply use:
[userpro template=memberlist search_artistry=’Artistry,dropdown’]
An no customisation is needed! ๐
Reference is here:

Best regards,
keyhanjunMake the UserPro forms max width:
– go to “Global Options” and set the “Plugin Default Width” to: 100%
Based on my memory it initially is: 480px
Adding a Video field:
– Create a textarea field
– Make the field html enabled
– Now this field can show YouTube embeds, like how the demo shows Vimeo embed.

keyhanjunin reply to: Customizing ProfilesQ:
Instead of making members NOT Visible to the public/community, how do I make them VISIBLE to allโฆ.A:
1. Just do not check any privacy setting within fields, that’s it. ๐2. Under “Global Options” be sure to have these settings checked:
For your other question about the “available roles in UserPro registration” this has already been requested so please add your +1 to this thread:
Best regards,
keyhanjunOk then lets add them manually! ๐

Unique Field Key: custom_profile_bg
Or select/sync an existing meta field key: –Choose an existing usermeta — / do not select anything
5. Click on the “Publish” button then close the popup via clicking on “Cancel” if it is still open
—
Now lets add the “Heading Color” field:
1. go to the “Customize Fields” page
2. click on “Add New Field”
3. a popup window appears
4. put in the following information:Field Title: Heading Color
Field Type: Select Dropdown
Builtin Choice List: – / choose nothing
Manual Choices / Options: here put in all three words so that it looks like this (one word per line):
Choose Skin
Light
DarkHelp Text: You can choose the style that matches your custom background (if you set one)
Custom Placeholder: empty field / put nothing in there
Unique Field Key: custom_profile_color
Or select/sync an existing meta field key: –Choose an existing usermeta — / do not select anything
