Is there any hope that you may face this issue and use .mo .po files for the fields labels in the future so as to make it truly multilingual and WPML-compliant or should I just give up on this plugin ? :0(
I find it silly for such a “detail” and sad considering the hopes I had for it ..but it’s like telling a client.. “oh well, the menus in your site will be the same for all visitors in any language”.. That would be silly.
If you guys were americans I could almost understand that you would not care about true multilingual support and stay in your own bubble world.
in reply to: Fields translation fallacy.. Not truly multilingual.I second this point of view, I’d gladly pay more for a more workable version.
My pet peeve is the fact that the form fields labels cannot be multilingual and are not translatable using WPML (they can be customized but can only exist in one version anyway in the database not using .mo .po), I’m amazed by this omission.. maybe some people don’t care to have a mishmash of languages on their site but I basically cannot use the plugin because of this “little” issue as my client obviously does not want “half-translated” forms. It looks bad and unprofessional to their own clients.
@kreacom
Thanks for the info, will look into this “userultra” system. Had not heard of it.in reply to: EMD – MULTIPLE CUSTOM FIELDS IN EMDI think it would be honest to say somewhere before purchase that the plugin is not really multilingual can cannot be since these strings can only exist in a single version. It took me a long time and hassling you as well to finally get an answer, at first I thought I had issues with my WPML installation etc.. so please don’t let other people go through the same stress, that is not cool ! I also saw you left that question unanswered for me other people on this very forum.. not cool at all.
in reply to: Translation Strings MissingWell, then if you want “us” to be able to use this plugin you need to rebuild the system differently and make the labels fetched from the .mo .po files so that they can be translated.
I cannot tell my clients that part of their website cannot be translated (in those cases I wanted to use the plugin for: containing WooCommerce shops) and that their own clients will have to register and look at their accounts’ content like their Billing Addresses, Shipping Addresses etc in a language that does to match their own and the rest of their user interface.
To me that’s a major problem and I obviously cannot use this plugin.
in reply to: Fields translation fallacy.. Not truly multilingual. The admin’s answer makes no sense.. unless one wants a mono-lingual site ?!??? Who has monolingual sites ?!!
in reply to: Translation of registration formI have a similar issue unresolved still.. the admin’s answer above is:
“These fields are field labels, you can translate them directly by editing fields in backend”
Except the plugin seems to support only ONE language at the fields level of the back-end.. meaning if your site is multilingual using WMPL for example, then if you translate the strings as he said here.. you end up with the same strings in all languages anyway.. so what is the point ?!?
in reply to: Translation Strings MissingHi, I upgraded to 2.9 and most of my forms don’t get translated in French. I REALLY NEED HELP as it is extremely important that this system works for my clients.
You said: “We have planned it up for the version 2.9”.. I don’t know exactly what you meant by “it”.. Are you or have you been aware of a translation issue for some time already ? If you know the translation does not work completely shouldn’t it be a major priority ?
Can I email you directly to get this sorted ? To make sure you understand what I am talking about.. THANKS !
IT’S REALLY IMPORTANT AS YOU AN IMAGINE, I cannot have half-translated forms :0(
in reply to: Translation/localization not working completelyI just need to get things clear.. I’m not exactly sure what you meant in your answer:
“We have planned it up for the version 2.9.”
So, by it you mean you are aware that the translation is not functioning properly and thus this will be fixed ? Correct ?
THX
in reply to: Translation/localization not working completelyI hope it’ll be soon :0)
