Hi there,
I think now UserPro has a lot of features, a top bar can be a really good idea for centralize all these features.
I’ve made two photoshop for illustrate my words.
The first one show the bar when you are not logged in (clic on for better view) :
And the second appears when you are logged in
I think it’s a good idea for two reasons :
With some themes, we can’t put the shortcode [userpro template=login] because we don’t have enough space, or because the theme don’t has sidebar or something else. In my case for example, on some pages I don’t show sidebar, on these pages my members can’t logged out or view their profiles. If we have the ability to logged in or access profile from anywhere on the website, just at the top of the screen, it would be amazing! And of course that is compatible with all themes. The second reason is because we have currently a lot of features on userpro. With this kind of bar we can put links to all these feature, just when hovering “Welcome, User!” or something like that.
For the future it could be awesome too. For example, if Ahmed add friendship, you’ll can see these notification on this bar, just like Facebook.
Tell me what you think about that!
Thanks for you consideration 🙂

Currently I’ve already a top bar, using a plugin. At the left I’ve a custom menu (that I can edit in Appearance > Menu, just like my theme menus). But this plugin doesn’t support shortcode or php, so I can’t put this kind of information at the right.
The problem with top bar, is that it will have problems with most themes with a header/top bar 🙁
replaces the top of the BuddyPress bar it is compatible with all themes
I made one by myself with just a few lines of code… If you have some html css knowledge is easy to made…
If we are asking for this feature it’s because we dont have the required knowledge.
