Hi there 🙂
This error occures when I publish a post with a featured image from the frontend.
If I publish a post without featured image, everything works
If I add a featured image, the image appears behind the post but when I click on “Publish” I have “SyntaxError: unexpected token <” from my browser (Chrome).
The post is published but the featured image is broken!
How can I solve that ? 😀
Thanks a lot for your help!
Yes I’ve disable all my plugins and test on default wordpress theme!
And I’ve also try to publish with admin role and suscriber role.
It seems that this kind of error occures when we try to post an unexisting file. So this could not be a multisite issue ? Since you have redesigned uploads on multisite. Maybe the image is loaded in a folder and when we try to post the jquery try to find the image in an other folder ?
This is just a suggestion, because I know nothing in coding
I’ve tried on Firefox, and the error is “SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character“
Did you have a chance to try to post a featured image from a single site install?
I think it’s a multisite issue because when i try on the main domain it’s working (domain.com), but if I try on subsite (sub.domain.com) this error occures.
Same plugins and same theme for both site.
Can you have a look to this error ? Maybe there is a mistake in the url used for featured image ? For information, featured images for subsites on multisite install are stored by default in “wp-content/uploads/sites/*numberofthesite*/year/month” instead of “/uploads/sites/year/month” for the main domain.
So I think there is a mismatch between the url used by userpro and the real url where the featured image was uploaded!
Up! Currently we can’t set feartured image on multisite install, important problem 😀 I know that it’s not the only issue and you have a lot of work, but just let me know if you will work on this issue 🙂
Up! It’s sad if multisite users can’t provide frontend publisher for their members!
I am sorry! Please accept my apologies if you have a delay in support 🙁 I am doing my best.. Is it working on single install but not multisite? Thanks!
No problem Ahmed, I understand 🙂
It’s working on single install and main domain of multisite install because the upload folder is the same (“/wp-content/uploads”)
But doesn’t work on subdomains because upload folders are differents (“wp-content/uploads/sites/x/” where “x” is the number of the subdomain)
So I think there is a mismatch between the url used by userpro and the real url where the featured image was uploaded or need to be uploaded!
I can provide you my ftp if you want to take a look 🙂
Ok, I got it now. The upload folder is now switched like I made for messaging folder/profile pictures.
