Registration redirect with verify email set

Is there a way to redirect the user after they have verified their email address. I opted to have the emails verified to reduce support. I have noticed after verifying the email, the user is placed back at the profile page but not logged in. Since I have set the profile pages to display posts by user, the profile page for a non-logged in user looks a little confusing.

I didn’t see a way even in the advanced redirection section.

A related question, do you think it’s ok to just auto-log the user in after they register. I guess if they miss-typed their email address, or gave one they didn’t mean to, they could always update their profile right?
