one more thing: I’m also not able to edit a specific profile even if I try to access it via backend….unless the user permalink structure is set to user ID…I try to update to 1.0.85 and see if that helps.
mine problem seems to be similar…
http://userproplugin.com/userpro/forums/topic/permalink-error/update: I completely re-installed the plugin and removed all related sites and settings….unfortunately it did not solve my problem.
And I also can confirm tomasos problem. When I have permalink structure selected by User ID it also forwards me to my own profile every time but not the chosen profile of somebody else.
Regarding Tomaso and my problem: could it be because of language settings? My site and backend is based in German and Tomaso’s page is in Italian….could that be probably the cause or is this the complete wrong direction?
I’m not saying this will fix yours, but I did have a similar problem in the past.
Hope this may help?..Try checking your UserPro “set-up pages”.
You may have MULTIPLE pages set which would cause the urls to interfere. Check your wordpress pages list for possible multi entries.
This happened to me a while ago when I ran an update.Regards
MikeAlso, please try to flush permalinks by going to permalink settings and click save to redo the htaccess file. Please try this step as well.
I fail to replicate similar issues, even when turning permalink structure to ID. @MikeJDS Do you experience any of the problems please comment
No not at the moment in relation to any of the latest updates.
As I said, it sounded like a similar problem I had in the past on an much older update.
Just to clarify, I’m not saying there is anything wrong with any of the updates per se.Hope that makes sense.
@MikeJDS: thanks for your advice but it didn’t help. Before the re-install I deleted all pages related to userpro and made a fresh install including a fresh creation of userpro pages… 🙁
@Ahmed: I did that too….saved permalinks settings in general WP permalinks settings and in userpro permalink settings…still the same problem. Also weird is that all pages related to a specific profile don’t work:
– When I click on my profile (=/profile) it shows my profile
– When trying to access a different user from wp admin with permalink structure set to user ID it always forwards me to my own profile but not to the chosen profile
– When trying to access a different user from wp admin with permalink structure set to user name it forwards me to a 404 page.I also cleared all caches including the wpengine cache and “repaired” all permission rights from the wpengine admin panel….
unfortunately the problem is still there.I even downgraded to 1.0.80 same result….so I updated back to 1.0.85
Did you have a chance to test it yourself…meaning using my wp admin and or ftp?
thx
