Possible gallery / user img uploads option

Would this work somehow for an img share website ? Also if this is possible what do I need to do to have this layout or similar to :
http://userproplugin.com/userpro/profile/ — so all the imgs the user has posted would show up on his/her profile
http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/allow-users-to-submit-images-your-site/ — after implementing it we would need a page only with imgs on it……

So with my understanding this will give logged in users a form to upload any amount of imgs (using the form) and as they are posts they would show up on the profile page as in the demo but with users real posts/uploads. But as im not a coder i didn’t fully understand if there is a possibility to have a page set up for ALL the users uploaded imgs/ posted imgs as a main gallery/activity page.

If this can work it could save some time for those who are looking for some sort of imgs sharing gallery option while the feature gets implemented with time.

I can see this is going to be a tug-o-war.. When I asked you to post in this section, I was clear that we were going to be discussing uploading images to the profile. Not a Possible gallery. That subject has been left in that section. Please, if you want to discuss the second question you had which was making images show on your profile page, as it does in the example, then let’s discuss that. That is a support question. 😉

If you want to display user posts as they are shown on this site, all you have to do is use the following shortcode.

[userpro template=postsbyuser user=author postsbyuser_num=4]

Which can be found on this page; http://userproplugin.com/userpro/ close to the bottom of the page, just above the shortcode showing users online.

You can alter that view by various options within the shortcode which is covered on this page http://userproplugin.com/userpro/shortcode-reference/ under “[userpro template=postsbyuser]” Available options. 🙂

hmmm….1 quick question….the front page publisher shortcode is modifiable to post only img type posts ?

If you are asking about custom post types, I don’t know if it supports any custom post types at this time. I will have to ask about that. I know you have been looking at that page where it talks of making custom post type for creating gallery and I know that is what you are motivated to find out.

I believe that would be considered custom work at this time.

However, I have been running back and forth between emails and that page, I would like to see what exactly can be done with it myself because I haven’t seen it before.. I have to at least look at these things.. it’s in my nature.. 😀

Yep… mainly asking it because I saw on the shortcode page you can display custom post type from users ? if I got it right 😀

So if the publisher would be able to the same then my whole issue would be gone right away. And that could become a feature request for the main plugin (front end publisher) part. At least it would be great so you can create almost any type of membership webpage with custom post types 🙂
