I have seen the documentation article on opening the forms via a modal lightbox as below:

Sorry if this is an ignorant question, but if I wan’t to have the login lightbox open when a button is clicked, how would I do it? The shortcode generator I am using for the button allows me to enter what the text of the button says, and what the link for the button is. I don’t know if there is a still a way I can insert the class name in this case.

The class is popup-login or popup-register as explained by the documentation.
