I’m more interested in ” New feature: introduced built-in field validation via filter hooks” and you don’t describe them also you do not update DOCs there is no previous version hook and this ones 🙂
Can you please write something about this new hook? how to use it?
@Ahmed, excellent work on form validation, very well done. 😀 Though I still can’t make category a required field :/
@ Tomas: The lack of documentation is a problem since the beginning of this plugin. Wait for some months and maybe you find one shortcode in a thread if you search.
Good update! I do agree with Nexnivis – it would be great to send those who register using social network to another form, smaller or with different fields than the full form, or at least be able to have some type of way to prevent people from using spam social accounts, like selecting their account role.
Thanks for the feedback. TDan, If you bought UserPro, please put the purchase code in here.
I’ll do my best to complete the documentation of UserPro in the coming days and this will result in slower updates. Sorry I have 2 hands only 🙂
Ahmed, FACEBOOK AUTO POST STILL DOES NOT WORK!!
CAN YOU FIX THID PLEASE?Doe anyone else have the same issue?
+1 on TDan’s comment
Ahmed, in trying out the new username/e-mail address blocking feature, I noticed it just doesn’t go any further in the registration when a value that has been added in the settings is used (I added “admin” as blocked username, and tried to create an account using “admin”). But no error messages are popping up on the front end of the form. Is this by design? Or is there a way to add a message to the front end when someone tries this. Also, the green checkmark shows up in the username field, should there be a red X or something? Thank you.
Thanks for the update.
Could we please have an ’email template’ added for the “new user following email” ?
Regards
MikeErica, no – it should show you an error message def. showing the user that he is blocked, or his email is blocked. Can I get an idea of what settings did you try? Thanks! I will try to replicate the same issue here.
Ahmed,
Please see screenshot of settings, I just added admin and administrator for testing. http://awesomescreenshot.com/0c82njm0b1
For testing, I tried a new account with the username “admin” (see http://awesomescreenshot.com/0572njmxc7).
Ok – now this time, the first time I submitted the form, I saw the red alert but only for about 1 second. I submitted the same form again, then the red alert came up and stayed. Do you think this was a fluke or is there something making it not stay up the first time?
Erica
Oh, I understand now. The form has a live/realtime method that checks for valid username/email. so it overrides the temporary error he get that his account is blocked, so the error msg appear but blink away instantly.. almost
Ahmed,
Thanks for the new updates. Please add pagination of followers high on your to-do list. I really need it for the RAM allowed by my server.
