Found a bug I think.
I do publish_field_order=”featured_image,title,content,post_type” and the category selection field doesn’t show up, but the other fields do.
Ahmed,
Thanks so much for the added functionality!!!!
I did run into one issue though. I added a new field as a drop-down using the “Add New Field” option. There’s 4 options, one on each line, no spaces before or after each option as would be standard. However, when I go to pull the field using the shortcode, it doesn’t display a dropdown menu as would be expected. Instead, it’s a blank text field.
Andy,
You’ll need to add “category” into the display order definition. Since you’re able to choose and re-order the display, using that short-code option effectively only displays what you tell the short-code to and in that order. If category isn’t in the definition, it won’t show up.
Ah, thanks Jonathan. My idiot moment when I thought post_type was category.
It doesn’t appear you can make category a required field. require_category=1
Andy,
Nope, it doesn’t look like it. I’m still waiting on the ability to allow publishers the ability to choose only one category and the ability to allow us to choose which categories they have the option of selecting. Right now, all categories are open, so if we have a news & updates category that only us admins post to, publishers can choose that and if auto-publish is set, it’ll get sent through.
Right now, the only option I have is to create a form for each category, which is kind of a pain :).
I think creating a form for each category makes the most sense, there probably isn’t really another way to do it without some sort of back end admin controls – and those are a real pain to implement.

Add new field that’s for UserPro fields! 🙂 The other custom fields are post meta (not user meta)
Hey Ahmed,
I’m actually trying to get it to where there’s a drop-down on the front-end submission form, so the post meta is what I need. I’m not trying to set this for a profile field :).
Basically, I need to allow publishers to choose the condition of what they are selling on our site and only select one from a drop-down menu.
– Brand New
– Used – Good Condition
– Used – Slight Wear / Tear
– etcSo how would I go about that? Right now, the drop-down menu doesn’t work.
Can we require_catetory=1 Ahmed? It doesn’t appear to be working for me.
Hi Ahmed,
Could you put on files how to update?
I need to reinstall the plugin by WP plugins panel?
I need to delete the userpro folder and replace it?
I need to run a script to update the DB?Sorry, i am a little lost on how to update.
thx
Berardo,
Unzip the contents of the ZIP file for the new version, overwrite the existing files via FTP and you’re done :). There’s no true upgrade process involved.
Thx Jonathan,
I am using version v1.0.81.
Can i upgrade directly for v1.0.83? Or need to update the v1.0.82 first.thx
You can update directly to v1.0.83 – no need for a sequentially update order.
PS: Btw love the new UserPro backend design and colors, well done! 🙂
Best regards,
keyhanjunafter the update is missing the text editor in the field “enter content”
How can I insert it again?
